Only driver able to beat Vanian for the top spot

Hiroshi Awazu ahead of Bradley Vanian and David Carter

Hiroshi Awazu won the Swedish grand prix at the Anderstorp Raceway. It's his third win of the season which is a realy good result since he is the only Williams in the field. In the last seven races he is the only one who has been at the top of the podium apart from Bradley Vanian. He also extends the rookie winning streak to nine races.

Last seasons best rookie David Carter finaly got back on the podium with his Mercedes with a 2nd place, and the championship leader Bradley Vanian finished 3rd in the Lotus, collecting his 13th top 10 this season. Since he's a rookie that means he has never finished outside the top 10.

Red Bull Racing drivers James Chant and Erik Tveit followed eachother through the race finishing 4th and 5th. Jean-Francois Godin finished 6th, Chris Jenkins managed to edge out Danny Asbury for 7th. Sebastien Levret finished 9th and in 10th Peter Duivelaar. So with a 6th and a 10th place Ferrari not only got one, but both their drivers in the top 10. It's been six races since last time Ferrari had a driver in the top 10.

What's NOT!
Scott Malcolm - Had five straight DNFs but managed to finish at Anderstorp, dead last.

Next races is in China at the Shanghai International Circuit. Don't sleep to much.
