one Q:
If there's a bidding war, the cash they bidded on the players gets returned to the managers who are in the bidding war instantly, or only after one loses?

Now, for the ones you're in a bidding war. Do them first, if you lose them, you can start signing other non-chosen players.

I can possibly help so you don't have to search a list of.. around 320 players
Here's that same excel file with all the lineups.

Find your team on the list below (no, not the table, the list below the tables). Replace one player (any player, you can also replace a "0") from your team with a player you want to get. Now on the right, in the same row where you typed the name of the player, there should be red cells that say "BIDDED". If there are more than 2 red cells (as one red cell is for your own team), then the player is either taken by another team already or in a bidding war.
