Ok.
Question 1 :
As the content is fictional, possibility to alter content by devs or modders is seemingly endless, allowing a lot of depth into the game. No licences needed for any car or any track or skin. So I would like to know if car content will be adequate, if competitions will be created or could we create themselves, will cars be able to be upgraded or tuned, will there be a story around the game for the players to identify with.
Or will it just be plug and play whatever track you design with that one formula car?
Hope I am clear enough on this.

Italian development studio Vae Victis Games have updated Early Access racing sandbox title Racecraft to version 0.4.1. Alongside the update Racecraft have announced Thrustmaster will be sponsoring the upcoming weekly Hotlap Challenge event beginning Monday 27th June.

The new update to Racecraft brings a welcome addition of the new paint mode feature which allows players to create their own paint schemes for the open wheel formula car in the game. Although not yet able to support community mod skins at present Vae Victis have confirmed to RaceDepartment work is underway for future support of custom created liveries in coming updates.

Dynamic reflections also make their debut in the game alongside a number of minor tweaks and visual polishing. The new update is available to download now via Steam.

Racecraft 0.4.1 update:
  • Features: Car Paint Mode
  • Graphics: dynamic reflections added
  • Graphics: shadows quality improved
  • Graphics: shadows performance impact reduction
  • General: minor bugfixes and general polishing

From June 27th to July 3rd Thrustmaster will be sponsoring the Hotlap Weekly Event with a selection of prizes for the event winner and the two runners-up. Check out the events section in game nearer the time for details.

Racecraft is available to purchase via the Steam platform now. Beginning week commencing Monday June 13th players will have a one week opportunity to pick up this title with a generous 20% discount.

First, thanks to RD and Vae Victis Games for giving us the opportunity.

With procedural tracks already working, are there plans to let users generate a track then manually edit it as they see fit? If so, I hope this would lead to Steam Workshop integration so we could share tracks for potential use in club races, leagues, etc..

Thanks again to everyone that made this happen!

@Paul Jeffrey

No link to the website: "For more information on what Racecraft is all about, check out the Racecraft website here." ;)

I already asked questions before. Dont know what to ask, hmm...

Are there different times of day to choose from and/or weather conditions?

How moddable will the game be, if any? Skinning (liveries) plus auto download for all on track would be cool. Concerned people (explicit) could tick box to not recieve custom liveries (stock setting). But its cool to see your own car paint design.

Are there more than the typical race mode planned? Practice, time attack etc (to improve your driving).

What were the main lessons that the studio have learnt from their previous games (mainly Victory: Age of Racing) that have made their way into Racecraft? Is one of those lessons the fact that instead of a free to play distributed game, Racecraft is now being sold at a price instead?
