AC Race #2 Championship Abarth/Mazda@Bremgarten, Wed 19th October 2022

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
I had my first (possibly only) practice tonight and started well off the pace but finished ok. Found 3.1 seconds compared to my qualifying last year and my current time is 0.5 seconds faster than pole last time.

Unfortunately, I am still well off the times I was seeing this evening. I'll try and get another hour or so before Wednesday.

Hmm, seeing this picture I'm thinking about the Honda S800 again for a classic multiclass on Fat-Alfies tracks in the next year. Any ideas for a second car '65-'75?

For a multi class you could have these...

TVR Griffith (Road version) (195bhp)
Ford Escort RS1600 (260bhp)
Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (230bhp)

Given that the Honda is 100bhp then there is quite a difference on power.

I thought the Honda was good fun on the last race we did with it so would be happy if that was the only choice :)

Another option is the Mazda Miata - that only has 130bhp - so not far off the Honda and it might be fun after an mx5

Another option for a championship could be 50's F1 with a car like the Maserati 250F?

The Maita is bit slow so probably not suited to these tracks

All I could find was the Porsche 356A from 1958.

6.3kg per hp vs 6.6kg per hp for the Honda, and 10 years between them.

- EDIT - actually, I seem to remember running AI races in the S800RSC against the Formula Junior Modena ST60 (5.13kg / hp) and it being quite close

My suggestion is really really very good and fair.
If you produce your old age pension book you can drive.

Or else you can drive

But if you are named Fulvio?
Out of the kindness of my heart
You can drive

As you are very aware, I am doing my best to create a very fair race series, even though we are as old age pensioners are greatly handicapped, I am still willing to go ahead with my humble suuggestion.

My dear Sir,

I find you a itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny biased in your choice of cars.

How about we drive the cars one can benchpress 27 times??
