Race 1 - Fuji:
- I missed, for the reason above #76 :ohwell:

Race 2 - Pau:
- Qualified 6th, first corner first lap big hit at my rear end (again) :tape:
spun and return on race at 15th, had a good scrapp with Stuart
and a few cool moments with Andrew and Ben. Finished 8th.
Pau is always a weird, fun, hard, exotic, mad, no mercy track,
sometimes i like sometimes don´t. However always enjoyable. :tea:

Race 3 - Misano:
- Qualified 6th, i always had the feeling that i never been able to
made some consistent driving over Misano however last night,
after lap 3, i believe i did some consistent laps following the faster guys.
Altough some understeering at fast corners, i managed to finished 4th

Congrats to winners and to the podium boys.:thumb:

Thanks again for organizing these fantastic car/track combos Andrew. :clap2:

Cheers

had a wicked race at fuji... how great is that track!!? :woop:
came somewhere in the top 6, i believe... with a fantastic latter battle with marty... he nailed me on the straight and then i chased and chased and chased.... arrrrf!

pau started out well and then got a bit catastophic... and misano i got barely any track time due to a mismatched track - :weep:

am loving these rad races though... thanks for ze kind comments - will work out the next one soon :thumb:

Well, to start with, I'm still not added to the list? Is there a reason for?

Probably just whoever edited the post didn't notice. Happens occasionally. Probably too much

Furthermore yesterday I downloaded the track and started practicing with the Radical. I still have one problem. When shifting back before a corner the rear wheels seem to lock, and if I only just steer a little bit, my back breaks out.
I'm not great at setups but try moving your brake bias forwards (if they are locking)? Is it specifically when you shift? Are you changing down too quickly and over-revving (in which case you would probably be wheel spinning instead of locking)? I think the rads are quite sensitive to changing down into first or second too soon. Bear in mind everything I just said could be wrong, but I think there are some settings which will help you keep control when engine braking, useful guide to setups:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/cbarnett/SetupMatrix.html

Also if you try it in private practice and watch your replay from the escape menu, then use numpad . to slow down the playback and you will be able to see what the wheels are doing

Furthermore, pitstop? 2 stop strategy? I'm not the fastest driver so I think best is to do as less stops as possible without wearing the tyres down?
From memory of the last 45 min mixed class event with rads, you should be fine on a 1-stop. Karl in a GT Club didn't even pit.

What about Teamspeak? Is it online everytime or does nobody really uses it? I already added the server to my favs.
It's always running but you probably won't find people in the race, but maybe if you join it they will come...

I'm really excited and hope not to mess up, so I take it slowly... You can't win a race in the first corner, but you can lose it... :disapointed:
Always a good philosophy.

One more question. Time is that CET or UK time? Just to be sure!
All EU events are on UK time :)

I drove in a gt sport, and it is possible to do it whitout stops... and I think it will be faster whitout any stop

  • Eric Soeters

Alrighty UK time zone. Good that I checked, because I almost was certain it was CET... Pfeewwwwwww

Furthermore, yes I'm shifting my revs down quickly, that is than possible the reason. Normally I do it as follows:
-Full on breaking when entering corner
-Before steering into the curve set the right gear
-slowly on the gas
-shifting up..

Maybe I still have to high speed, and already gearing down in gear 2...

Hmm GT sport without stop. 45 minutes driving. I go for one stop due to tires... No let's pray for a dry race :)/

Well if I'm right, there is only one open spot for Radical and they forgot me to add to the list so far... So I hope you stick with your already decided car :)
