Doesent look like Ryan is doing a F1-88 race this Thursday (shame they clashed with masters last week) so.....

Drivername: Martin Bulgin
I understand the Golden rules: YES

Anyone remember the truck race we had at Norisring about 18 months ago ? I think we had a full grid and it was one of the best races I have been involved in.

Those cars were a blast, great fun trying to keep up with Eric and Saul. The best part was building my own set that worked great the entire race, actually got better it seemed. Just one lingering problem, that hole in the fuel tank bug bit hard twice!

First race I just tried to get a feel for the event, trying to keep clear of the other cars, limited track time and worries about others who may have been sandbagging during practice. The car started coming to life 15 minutes into the run and I noticed the times to the next car getting shorter, the car was really stable and very easy to drive without too much worry of losing control. I was happy to see cars in front and pleased with a 3rd place finish, even with the limited entries, very good drivers, fourth was a victory in my aging mind.
Then I heard those horrid words of warning from the pits, fuel! Shut off with less than 2 minutes to go, all that practice and I got the math wrong AGAIN! Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't use simple math all day at work..............

Second race I added plenty of fuel and knew I had a car that could (in my mind) stay with Eric and Saul, hoping for an error. Was just a total blast running behind Eric most of that race, trying like mad to fill his mirror, taking his focus off the track in front. THEN that stinkin pit crew came on the radio to inform me ONCE again I had somehow managed to use more fuel than during practice and was going to run out again. That message came up just as I was entering turn one. Taking my eye off the track to read something I already heard, I turned in just a bit too early and looped it on the curbing causing a race ending (IF the car could manage another lap had I not matted it using vital fuel to regain control and turn the car in the right direction) challenge. I noticed Eric was in the pits and thought about letting up to try and finish but there was no way that car stood a chance of finishing with 50 seconds to go................

Great race Saul, you were gone. Eric what a blast, was a victory for me just staying on the same lap as you. I swear, I WILL get this fuel thing down, next time!

Willie it drives better than the Vette on the whole......and the corners here are long and fast so I think a stable car is a good choice.

1.47-1.48 in the bmw last night.... only did a couple of laps but it should be fun and fast!!! I love not having that bus stop chicaine. The GP version is a better track for sim racing imo.

Thnx Eric/Jarrod.

Better get working on the Bon Accord Ultimate Skin for it then!!!!! and rake in the Red bull for work tomorrow.

Peter that fuel thing is a pain in the ass at the glen. Motec just lies to you ehre for some reason.

I always go out and run 3 laps hard right out of the pits and then do the math from my start load and whats in it after 3 laps. subtract to get a use difference. ( 4.2L /lap for me) then I take the race time, 25 mins and divide by best lap time. 1:35xx for me so 15.6 laps.

so 15.6 x 4.2 = 65.5 L......................addin one aditional lap of fuel for the occasional off that eats fuel yet you go nowhere LOL

69.5 L total fuel load......I finished with 4L extra in race 1....almost dead nuts perfect!

or you can just ask us what we using for fuel..........we share fuel info all the time!

GReat race man we had a blast!

Watch to WTCCX again next week!

i would like to join, this would be my first ever race, i have a few questions that i could use some help with:
-after searching i assume you mean Varano di Melegari?
-is there anything i need to do to my game to be able to join the server? password?
-i haven't driven the minis much, but they seem to have a tonne of throttle lift oversteer, is there a setting that can help me with that?

Mike Fast
Yes - have read and understand the rules

VARA.its in the "extras tab" of the ingame tracks....

The password thread is wher eyou get the PW to enter the race. >>>> http://www.racedepartment.com/rules-passwords/

throttle on oversteer? Just serch the "online files" button of the ingame setup screen on the bottom. you'll find a ton of setups all built and ready to download and try.

HTH and welcome to the ARC! BTW get your teampseak running is at all possible. helps out a bunch even if you don;t have a Mic yet.
