OPEL VECTRA RACE!!!

PRACTICE

As usuall after allot off laps i manage to be in top 5 preaty much all the time...so was glad.first time on circuit and with vectra...like the car...i managed realy late braking zone

QUALI
Like always i much slower in quali then in practice...so got p11....crap

RACE 1

had a decent start...i din;t lost to many position and was trying not to get involved in eny accidents but.....half whey in first lap....

and after i lost my rear spoiler witch had my back end allover the track

In p22 i tried to deal with the problem as calm as i could...so..had a fight with a seat

after that was about seatle behind JAKOB DE BOER,i dind;t understand the car preaty well so i coudn't pass him so in lap 7 i pitted

after pit i came out 19th ..so i was geting the hagn off the car with no rear bumper,and slowly but stady after some more pitting from others was 15th,then in lap 12 i managed to find my friend JAKOB DE BOER

with some slow pace from me and DE BOER , PAUL WOOD and JAMES FELOW chaut up with us...and then i tghout i must defend my position, and for that reason i lost 2 places in 2 corners...

PAUL WOOD got a much better exit with the tractor,scuse me the TDI and passed me on straight

then JAMES FELOW got a better inside line,so he passed me too

it was lap 16/19 so i realy wanted to push to stay with them

in lap 17/19 , JAMES had a moment with PAUL and got punted outside,so i got passed him

then in second corner lap18/19 i had just touched PAUL ,and that sent him spinning,don;t now why

Then i new it;s all or nothing,and i went for Jakob to laps i was in his rear bumper but in the last lap,last corner.....after some havy braking...

RACE 2​

I started from 10th place, had a bad start was 14th in first corner,on the second corner i was on the outside line t avoid crashing,and then James had a moment i avoided him in last second by going on the sand

After that in straight line allot of drivers trying to pass evryone and i was in 16th place..but some crashes one pass and was in 13th,then another cras with 2 drivers was in 11th,

behind me with James realy fast and wated to pass me[ and in front of me Nathan Magrath that i realy wanted to pass him, until Nathan had a bad exit from a corner and i was inside him,but JAMES had a better exit that both of us and was in middle of us,tried to block but was to late...so double pass from James,and my friend jakob de Boer was just in front uf uss

I new that for a good result i must keep up with James so i tried realy hard.James passed Jakob then in the hairpin Jakob let realy wide the inside lane and i tried a late pass under braking,he closed the door but i was already there,and that send him spinng in the sand,SORY !

had some good laps behind James,could stay within a second,and after some pitting from others was in 5th place,and we chaut Robert Isles and Rhys Gardiner,then the do a pit toghter and last moment i decided to pit with them

After pit was in 7t place and tried to stay with the boys in front but the other Opel with Rhys just went away, had a scrap with the Seat until James came allong

Then did a move but unware i closed the line a bit,and he was already there,i got sponed but James wated for me,BIG THANKS JAMES, in the last lap he couln;t find the spot to pass me again so finish 7th

Agreed Eric, but I also think we should be able to use the open forum to discuss how we race against each other. This way we can learn from each other on how we need to behave on the track. This is one way to avoid future incidents. Of course this type of discussion must be civil and constructive, but we are all grownups here (well almost all of us are -- there are a few minors, but at times they behave more grownup than us older farts).

Other than being put in a situation to defend myself to the forum by Paul's race report, I felt that my discussion and replay should help us all know how to better race together.

For example, when one opens the door and another driver goes through the door, the door opener has the responsibility to not close the door on the driver coming through. And of course the driver taking advantage of the open door, needs to honor the door opener and gracefully go through the door and not do damage in the process.

any incidents need to be discussed and clarified via PM not here in the event threads.

BTW Michael - thanks for the challenge in R2. You were killing me T1 and the diving left, my only saving grace is I knew I was a little faster through the final 2 corners, usually. Shades of Sebring.

Make sure you don't have any of the add-on's from PT Sims (GTP) or scca1981 (GTS) installed when you use the FIA GT mod, as the FIA GT mod incorporates those mods and would naturally cause issues with ModelID's.

Michael,

I see your point but even if one preson shades a report against you, IT really should be handled in the PM channels.

2 wrongs don;t make a right kinda thing.

Not picking on you BTW. I have been known to PM anyone with an unusually negative pos race report calling someone out about a race incident.

While I consider all of you friends its my responsibility to maintain the rules of RD first given my position ATM.

FWIW I see that incident as a racing incident and it would almost unanymously be viewed as such by a "Staff review" as well.

Good racing all really enjoyed tonight & Gratz to keith for Race1 very well deserved

Qauli: Surprised to nip pole fom Keith so was happy about that

Race 1: Thought i made a good start off the line but Keith was like a motogp bike and got past me
with ease, Tried to stay with Keith and hopefully wait for a mistake, but no mistake was made and
it turned out to be a grueling 25 mins! Great driving their Keith

Race 2: Made a good start off the line with some cars making contact ahead wich allowed myself to
gain some positions, swapped positions with Keith and thought not another grueling 25 mins!
but i seen Keith get alittle loose and go off track so i tried to be consistant and push for
P1 wich i managed to do and take the race2 win

Thanks to everyone who turned up and also abig thanks to RD & Stefan for putting this fun race together
