My overall view is that this is a great circuit. However, not such a great event for me.

Practice:

Even with Keiths Chevy set up i never managed to dip into the 2:1X's in practice, very disheartening to be more than 6 seconds off the lead pace, even on this long circuit. I persevered and at least felt that i knew the circuit.

Went out in quali and ran a 2:18:xx. Good enough for 20th, at least I wasn't last.

Race 1

Got a good start on the long run (well it is from way back on the grid where I was). Braked earlyish for T1 to avoid the now standard pile up. Only to be rear ended and punted into Glenn (who looked like he retired at that point). I haven't reviwed the replay yet, but I hope that whoever punted me stopped too. Made up a couple of places as the car was running ok and took advantage of other being punted off. Made up another place at the pit stop. But nade the mistake of changing fronts rather than Lefts (luck i did as my left preset has wets rather than slicks.

Raced on with a few good fights to defend as I was really struggling. Finished 16th I think.

Race 2
managed to avoid Ryan bening punted (again!!!) and made my way cleanly up to about 12th which i'd never expect to make. Ran ok gradually losing places but hoped at least to finish where I'd started. On about lap 6 Yves passed me but then got loose and i ran down the inside. Thought that I was far enough along side for Yves to see but he turned in and bounced off! Slowed down to let him rejoin even though it was probably a riteous passing move. Only to see him retire as Id lost all of the places waiting. Retired myself as there was no race left for me now, went to bed.
