If you guys have any advice for a novice, I'm all ears! (car selection, pit strategy, setups...). I have been fairly comfortable driving the C30 or the Leon so far.

Welcome Jason!! Dont worry about the speed!! Being a clean driver is WAY more important!! and in case if an incident happen just make sure to follow our Golden Rule!!

Hey john did I hit you on the start or was it someone else, I spun the tires and ended up loose and into the side of 2 cars before T1 I believe

The secret to standing starts in these is to keep it mid-rev range, green light punch it, then let off the gas after the tires start spinning, and gradually apply throttle. That's what I do and I get amazing starts.
