hmm this is the same night as the GTL abarths, but I don't really want to miss out on the cold lap points, so I'll have to sign up for this...

  • Matt Crouch

you just signed up to the abarths :p

or is it abarfff
ok it has magically changed :magic: :wand: :wizard: :grr: :where: :are: :these: :smilies:

Man I would love to make this one!!! Perfect time and I love the track and cars... Unfortunately my wife will be out that evening and I have to watch the baby. I'll join if he is asleep. Can you put me as a maybe Yves? Thanks:)

Practice:
Missed most of it, had to have dinner :p

Qualifying - 17th:
Hadn't got the setup because I missed most of practice, so used this a test.

Race - 11th:

Had a good start, andwas in 11th by the first corner, then someone roared up the inside and knocked me into another car. Sorry to whoever I hit, but I had no control over it. Continued on, and at the 4th corner (you guessed it!), there had been contact and one of the car spun into my line, damaged my car, and a lap late hit a wall. I could still drive. I was holding my position from the cars behind, and managed to do it for quite a while, until I had to pit. Now, in a way I am thankful for this, as it's part of gaining experience in Simracing, but when I enetered the pits, I was slightly over the limit, and got a stop and go. Also have a regular problem where the car stalls when refuelling. Anyway, took the stop and go, and was last (of those still running). A bit ticked, as before the Stop and go, I had good chance of a decent finish. Anyway, I followed a car that lapped me the rest of the race (going pretty slowly I might add, had to slow down so he stayed ahead) and no events, apart from when he nearly hit me as he was entering the track :).

I liked the event, and I gained some more knowledge from it, albeit the hard way. I LOVE these cars, I just love racing them, and I can do well in them, apart from some circumstances that happen in the midfield but I can blame myself, usually start at the back of the grid (not a great qualifier, I work my way up in the race). I cannot wait for another GT event. Thanks a lot to the organisers and the other drivers :D
