I know we are all excited for this release. What I don't know is how many people intend to a) play it on the xbox one and b) would like to join some sort of a formal league here at Race Department.

There are so many possibilities, I've had to calm myself down from getting lost in them. However, my main passion, IndyCar, will probably not be able to be run until the DLC with the ovals comes to the Xbox One.

That said, what sort of series would you like to see? Personally, ones that come to mind are Tudor United Sports Car Series, WEC, British Touring Car, and DTM. One of these could fill the gap for me until IndyCar is possible, but others may have better ideas.

Please indicate below if you are interested and what sort of times you are available and which series' you prefer. We could follow the actual schedule of many a series, due to the timing of the release. Personally, if they get the ovals out before IndyCar starts, I'll probably turn my focus there, but nothing would prevent running another alongside.

The anticipation is killing me!

I can do well in Qualifying but like @Xcoopz21X brought up, the changing temperature of the track is creating issues with the grip levels of the car and tire choice. Seems that the car runs well on Hards, and then as the track cools the grip goes away in a hurry. If the track temp drops below 100'F the car goes from balanced to evil on Hard compound. So the Soft option means burning them up, and changing them half way though. Shouldn't really be an issue since Pit Stops are Mandatory. Just a bit shocked at how fast the Softs wear here.

The Track:

The Dubai track is relatively new, developing in 2004, along with the middle-east's rise to prominence. Dubai has become more well known for GT, Touring & Endurance racing, hosting multitudes of 24 hour races, and also an A1 GP Event. Dubai Autodrome has deliberately positioned itself as the home of UAE national motorsport, with the goal being made to develop more talent in the country. The track hosts many local events for rich occupants, with everything from Maserati Trofeu, to Suzuki Swifts. Despite the large run off areas, the track has seen 2 fatalities, both in 2010. Christophe Hissette in the qualifying session for a Radical SR3 Cup race, and Pascal Grosjean in a 600cc sportsbike championship race.

Hotlap:

Or in this case, laps

Questions:

Its clear to see the championship is made up of Ferraris & McLarens, are you ok with this or would you like more choice?

After Monza the top 6 are close in the championship, but is Gaz still the favourite?

Dubai has been a mainstay in TNGTC having featured every season, but does this track deserve to be a part of this season?

7 races down, any surprises in the league so far?

I think everyone choose a dido car because they saw someone else do a fast lap in it.

Yes

I like it. I prefer GP layouts though.
7 races down, any surprises in the league so far? Scapegoat Racing has the most penalties, so no surprises.

As long as it's good close racing I'm not bothered what cars we drive

I believe if Jamie can keep his points, he can stand a chance
But Scooby is definitely the under dog
(pun intended ;))

Can't see where I'm going with lights off
Can't see where I'm going with lights on

Can't see in general, Liam's friend zone is in the way

Ben hasn't died yet

That's a smart idea for compatibility.

I would have preferred the P1 Elite wheel in the bundle but if I get on with Fanatec, I might just add the new McLaren GT3 wheel to a birthday request...

Loadcell kit is on the way now.

You'll love the load cell. I have the Ricmotech for the T3PA pro pedals. Braking is definitely smoother and more consistent. Just taskes some time to get used to and broken in.

The only problem with changing tires during a race is that you hope that the pit strategy bug doesn't hit you. I have checked to ensure tire pressures where correct before the start of the race only to find that they were still changed to a higher pressure when I pitted during the race,

Sync the time to the race. Not sure why we need to have it go from middle of the day to night anyway, I understand the 24 hr races but a normal race?
