Been wondering what all the fuss is about? Now you can have the chance to sample Project CARS 2 for yourself thanks to a new multi platform demo available with immediate effect!

It wouldn't be a stretch of the imagination to say Project CARS 2 is one of those games that causes a dramatic mix of emotions from the sim racing population, veering from the fiercely loyal defenders to those who don't hold much love for the latest Slightly Mad Studios racing game.

If you are finding the frankly confusing mix of opinions too difficult to navigate on your own then this might be a very good piece of news for you - Project CARS 2 now has its own demo, and better still it is available on all platforms that support the game, and its free... and available now!

Featuring the laser scanned Red Bull Ring in Austria, the demo gives players a diverse range of cars to sample as you get the opportunity to try Project CARS 2 for yourselves and make up your own mind as to where this controversial title sits amongst the sim racing hierarchy. Offering drivers the chance to sample a high performance open wheel racer in the form of the Formula Renault 3.5, a high power GT3 specification GT car with the Ferrari 488 GT3 or the beautiful road going Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4 supercar. So something for all tastes then..

According to Slightly Mad Studios the demo will offer "three scenarios" that will "test you with escalating challenges, allowing you to experience class-leading physics in various cars and varying conditions, and give you a taste of what there is to be experienced in the full game".

The demo can be downloaded from the respective platform stores now. Go on, have a try and see what all the fuss (good and bad) has been about...

Project CARS 2 is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC now.

Of yes, and You'd love nothing more than silence huh.
Sorry Mr investor, I have a bad habit of telling the truth.
As for the game, if you're not a hardcore sim fan, you could buy this as the ffb/physics are OK, just not proper simulation.

lol, keep ****ing that chicken.

I have find that different Sims excel in different areas and enjoy them all. I also don't fool myself thinking that any computer game is even close to imparting the actual feeling of driving a car.

But, hey, if your e-peen requires you to act the way you do, full your boots.

But what's your problem dummy?
I speak first and foremost about the physics/ffb calibration, and the PC Sims like AC/AMS do it best, I didn't criticize the game on any other basis.

The fact is, you think the only way to approach gaming is your way, however theres also the notion of focusing on the physics/ffb, and pcars2 isn't good enough to warrant a purchase based on that sole criteria.

If you and others like additional aspects of the game, buy and enjoy, but why interupt my opinion given my personal selection criteria.....?

I'm laughing at you because you hate the games so much, yet you can't stop focusing on them, coming to the pcars forum and exposing from your lofty perch on what 'real' physics and 'real' Sims are.

You seem to be the type that constantly needs to pump your own tires on how much superior you are because you demand better physics from your Sims than what pcars has.

Good for you. You should follow your own advice and just play whatever game makes you happy vs wasting your energy constantly bitching, for years mind you, how much you hate this series.

But I don't think you will because really what you desire is to show your superior taste by constantly pointing it out.

So yes please continue ****ing that chicken.

Yep, PC master race and PC sim elitist, they do exist and they have every right to despite the goal of publishers to dumb everything down, sorry, but I have high standards, it's not my fault you're offended by them, LOL.

The forum topic is about PC2 demo, and what people thought of it. Or did I miss something? I didn't like it, just like I tried very hard to yet still couldn't like Dirt 4. We posted our opinion. If our opinion trashes the game because we didn't feel it was worth buying, that's bad luck.

I drove PC1 when I first started sim racing, and I thought it was awesome. I think if I went back to it now, it would be drastically different. All depends what you value in a title. I prefer small ambitions and a great product, not the other way around.

PC2 has certainly not rendered the other sims useless by any means. Doesn't mean it's trash. Just not for me.

So true. I maybe wrong, but do people who like pcars go to those forums just to trash those games? There seems to be a constant stream of people who only seem to post here to espouse their hate for the game. Maybe I'm missing it, but it didn't seem to be a 2 way street.
In the main that's true, a few do rag on the other sims but it's mainly one way, especially here. A lot pf great guys and gals here but too many (IMO) idiots.

Let's not pretend that during pcars development we witnessed a splinter between the absurdly optimistic investors and otherwise normal gamers.

Even after the relative failure of pcars1, the pcars2 crowd still have the gall to hold grudges against people who accurately predicted the state of play.

The fact is, between ac/ams/rr3/rf2 and even iceracing to some degree, standards have improved and it makes it hard for simcade games to pass themselves off as Sims.
