i had a feeling i would be getting that answer as soon as i published that message.....i downloaded what was supposed to be the latest from the 7z site.....This typically happens when you use an old archiver version. Indeed, you must have an archiver version superior or equal to the version used to make an archive : UPDATE YOUR ARCHIVER !!!

Just gotta say tho; this is hands-down the best racing sim i've ever played - and i have most of the others - the physics, FFB, car & track quality are superb, both in look and feel. I used a mild SweetFX profile to boost the contrast and brightness, and add SMAA plus a little bloom, and you'd think it was a DX11 game.. but the quality of the driving experience is what matters, and this game takes you straight into the zone - the FFB really lets you feel how the suspension and chasis are working, what each cars limits and abilities are, and how to exploit them to best advantage. This is the most engrossing racing experience i've had since the Skippies at LRP in RF2. But with these gorgeous classic cars..

Welcome to Racedepartment.New member, first post! First of all, I am so pleased to be able to breath new life in to an old game! Great work. I am having an issue though! For some reason, no matter what car/track that I select - it always remembers my previous selection. So, I am currently stuck with Escort @ Donnington for the time being. I have also noticed that I cannot create a new profile within the game. Any ideas please?
Many thanks, tried running as admin and it's now working. Absolutely convinced that I had already tried that but obviously not! FYI - I installed it in the default location of C:\Program Files (x86)\PnG3. Thanks again!Welcome to Racedepartment.
Try running the game as administrator. It might not be able to write to your player file. Where did you install PnG?
