Pastor Maldonado Confirmed at Lotus for 2016

I'm glad he stays. He's sort of like a modern day Andrea de Cesaris. There's always a certain excitement whenever he's involved in anything.

I think that Pastor is an ok guy off track; does a lot of good for youngsters back home.
On track he instils in me a feeling that, somewhere there is a great driver inside of him but can't find a way out.
I liked him a lot when he was at Williams (pity he walked) and I had great hopes for him at Lotus; because he is fast, that can't be denied...the sorry story is though, that he is still making mistakes that could be avoided.
As far as being behind Grosjean in the points well be fair, look at his mechanical DNF's he has had and many of them when he was leading Grosjean.
I think that he gets more stick than he deserves; for instance the coming together with Button in Singapore, all the comments were worded with the, "here we go again, Maldonado" tone; when Button was at fault for sure.
I am glad Lotus have given him one last chance...if he messes up next season, then yes dump him.

Would the $60 mill he brings in even cover the cost of repairs he needs over the year?

I feel sorry for Maldonado, he has shown he is fast and I think he's had a terrible run of luck, some crashes were not his fault, but he always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Quoting here..... "here we go again, Maldonado" tone; when Button was at fault for sure. I can't see how..see you got your Pastor tinted glasses on here...button was going for the inside into turn 18 and setting himself up out of 17 to which pastor suddenly switched to the inside...everyone could see what button was going to do so switched to **** up his race...the only thing button is guilty of is maybe running a little too close to his ass...the switch was malicious

Money talks and Maldonado will walk...
...back to the paddock after crashing for the millionth time.

But with Venezuela plunging into the proverbial abyss of its socialist crysis, it won't take long before the commies there decide it's time to stop the Maldonado adventure. And probably use the cash to buy toilet paper for their mighty leader.

I loved david coulthard's comments during the Singapore GP. Something about how many incidents Maldonado had been in lately, but if you are looking for TV time put you name on the side of pastors car! Lol

I see you have been watching/following F1 for 25 years...not long really, I started being a GP/F1 nut in 1950; which is 65 years and know a fast driver when I see one; Maldonado is fast, he has won a race, which is more than most F1 drivers do in their career.
Wait and see is my motto on him.
In the present day Merc' he would trash "bling boy Hamilton" over a flying lap. :)

lol.... yeah in your dream Pastor is good, in real life he's only good to give work to the mechanics because of all the breakage he does and oh sorry I was born in 1986... what an ignorant thing to say !
