It is with great pride that today the KSR Development Team bring to you all the future in online superstock racing, the Kiwi Superstock MOD for rFactor!

After over a year in development the Team has come up with something quite special. Some of you have asked the question of why this has taken so long and today that question will no doubt be answered. This isn't just any ordinary MOD, in fact it is in effect a full blown game on it's own. Scratch built physics provide an unrivaled realism in online superstock racing. Over 200 current driver, legend and teams skins await you. 12 real life tracks are also included some of which have NEVER been seen before in any game. An insane amount of chassis & variations, body/bonnet combos etc means that you will be spoiled for choice especially when it comes time to create your own custom skins. There is a mountain of upgrades, everything from the wheels, shocks & seats to the smallest details like surrounds and faces on the gauges can be changed. You can even paint yourself up custom coloured wheels. The MOD even has it's own showroom!

The greatest thing about this MOD though is that as packed full of goodness as it might be....................... We ain't done yet!!!!

Download and ENJOY.

KSR Development Team

Note: We recommend that before Installing the MOD you delete all of your current NZ tracks from your rFactor\Gamedata\Locations folder. (Waikaraka, Kihikihi, Woodfordglen, Nelson, Wanganui & Meeanee). This will ensure that you won't receive mismatches when racing online.

Former BTCC driver Jeff Allam will return in his role as 'Driving Standards Advisor’ for the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship from the series' next round at Oulton Park (5 June) onwards.

Allam, who won 16 races during his BTCC career, will be at each event to assist and advise the Clerk of the Course when investigating on-track incidents. He previously carried out the same advisory role with the BTCC in the mid-late Nineties.

"I'm delighted that Jeff has again accepted my offer of this role," said BTCC Series Director Alan Gow. “The amount of very competitive teams and drivers in our championship is fabulous but inevitably can lead to an increased workload, particularly with matters concerning on-track incidents.

“Therefore Jeff's highly regarded input will not only bring a respected driver's perspective to the table, but also help us to provide a more efficient decision-making process at the event."

If you fancy seeing some of the finest racing cars history has to offer, then get yourselves to Silverstone on the 22-24 July 2011. This year’s Silverstone Classic will make history as the event will be the first to take full advantage of both the national and international pit complexes at Silverstone.

Some grids will be housed in the spectacular ‘Wing’, the brand new Formula 1 pit complex built between Club and Abbey Corners, while others will be in the traditional national pit complex at Woodcote Corner. A fleet of Route Master buses will be on hand to ferry visitors between the two sites.

Both buildings are required as the move to racing on the exciting new Grand Prix circuit means that the event will feature even bigger grids than ever before. The headline numbers are sensational; over 800 racing cars, more than 1000 drivers and grids of up to 58 cars on the new Silverstone Grand Prix circuit make the Silverstone Classic the world’s biggest and arguably best celebration of classic racing.

The weekend is a remarkable journey through the development of the racing car; from the bold and brave machines of the 1930s to the DFV-engined Formula 1 cars of the 1970s and early 1980s and the stunning Group C sports cars of the 1980s and early 1990s. Further massive diversity is provided by races for period touring cars, classic sports and GT racers of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

silverstoneclassic.jpg

While many of the cars in action are incredibly rare and valuable, this is proper racing and the sight and sound of these cars being raced with commitment and skill by hard-charging racers will make it a truly memorable weekend of racing.

“The race line-up for the 2011 Silverstone Classic is nothing short of sensational," said Event Director Nick Wigley. “We have gathered together the finest categories from across Europe and with the move to the new Grand Prix circuit we can run bigger grids than ever before. Even so, some grids have still been over-subscribed!

“The Silverstone Classic also will give the public its first chance to experience the circuit’s amazing new ‘Wing’ building following the British Grand Prix. Moreover, our ‘access all areas’ policy will give everyone the chance not only to admire the new structure from afar but also to see it close up as they are free to walk around the paddock and watch these wonderful cars being prepared in the pits.”

The full race line up is:

Group C sports-prototypes from 1983 to 1991.
The magnificent Le Mans prototype cars of the 1980s, including cars from Porsche, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Nissan, Mercedes, Lancia and Spice.

Grand Prix Masters for Grand Prix cars from 1968 to 1982.
The DFV-engined generation of Formula 1 cars from manufacturers like Lotus, Tyrrell, McLaren, Brabham and March.

Historic Grand Prix Car Association pre '61 Grand Prix cars.
Cars ranging from Pre-War monsters through to Cooper, Lotus and Maserati representing a golden era of Formula 1.

Historic Grand Prix Car Association pre '66 Grand Prix cars.
The cars of the era when F1 engines went to the rear of the car; Cooper, Lotus and Brabham are among the key manufacturers.

World Sportscar Masters for sport-prototypes and GT cars up to 1974.
The mighty V8-powered Lolas and Ford GT40s ranged against nimble 2-litre cars from Chevron and Lola.

Gentleman Drivers Series for pre '66 GT and pre '63 sports cars.
A magnificent line-up of classic GT cars from Aston Martin, Jaguar, AC, TVR and many more.

Italian Historic Car Cup for pre '74 Italian sports, sports-prototype and GT cars.
An over dose of glorious machinery from Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo.

Jaguar E-type Challenge.
Brand new for 2011 to celebrate 50 years of the E-type; a one-make race series for the classic British sports cars of the early 1960s.

Formula Junior for single-seaters from 1959 to 1963.
For six years, Formula Junior was the proving ground for aspiring Grand Prix drivers, competing in both front and rear-engined racing cars.

U2TC up to 2-litre pre '66 touring cars.
The U2TC series for up to 2-litre touring cars is packed with Lotus Cortinas, Alfa Romeos, BMWs and Mini Coopers.

Big–engined Touring Cars for over 2-litre pre '66 touring cars.
A record grid of American V8 racers, with the Ford Mustang and Falcon to the fore, along with a smattering of Jaguars and a Mercedes or two.

Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy for Historic Cars.
This race, for pre '63 GT cars, celebrates Britain's oldest motor race, and includes priceless classics from Ferrari, Aston Martin, Jaguar and many others.

Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy for pre '56 sports cars.
The evocative sports cars of the early 1950s will include early Aston Martins, Maseratis and Jaguars along with a host of smaller-engined cars.

Sir Stirling Moss Trophy for pre '61 sports and sports-racing cars.
The sports-racing cars of the 1950s were some of the most beautiful cars ever built for racing; Lotus, Lister, Maserati and Cooper are all represented

Ive been a few times before to marshal and it is an amazing event, just a shame that as a marshal i dont get as much time as i would like to look around at the cars in the paddock. If you are a fan of historic cars this is easily the best event to go to.

Gordon Shedden, Jason Plato and Mat Jackson shared the wins in three action-packed Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship races at a damp Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire. But it is Matt Neal who continues to lead the title race which now heads to the daunting Croft circuit in North Yorkshire on Sunday 19 – that’s despite a highly controversial last corner, last lap clash with team-mate Shedden in today’s second race that put them both off the track as they fought for the victory…

Scottish ace Shedden had achieved his second straight pole position in Saturday’s qualifying session and, on a damp track, duly took victory in the first of today’s races ahead of the Silverline Chevrolet Cruzes of Jason Plato and his young Cumbrian team-mate Alex MacDowall.

In race two Shedden was on course for another win but at the final bend the chasing Neal attempted to pass him. To the disbelief of the huge trackside crowd and live ITV4 audience their Honda Racing Team Civics dramatically made contact and together slithered off into the gravel trap. This gifted Oxford’s Plato victory ahead of Robert Collard’s WSR BMW and Newport Pagnell driver James Nash’s 888 Racing with Collins Contractors Vauxhall Vectra – although their positions were later reversed by officials who decided Hampshireman Collard had been overly robust in overtaking Nash.

Jason Plato looked unhappy despite 2 of his rivals taking each other out, particular from Chevrolet's main rivals Honda. Plato still complaining about the Honda's advantage on the race track, despite the racing been close and the Honda's getting beaten on track in 2 of the 3 races on the day.

Photo: In race three, Jackson led every lap from the reversed grid pole to win in his Airwaves Racing Ford Focus. Shedden followed in second ahead of Staffordshire youngster Andrew Jordan’s Pirtek Racing Vauxhall Vectra.

Neal leaves Oulton still leading the standings but by the much reduced margin of two points from Shedden with Jackson just another five adrift. Indeed, a mere 15 points – equivalent to a race win – cover the first six in the championship.

Worcestershire’s Neal said: “I’ve no idea how I’m still in front. Today has been a bit of a shocker and Gordon would have been quite justified in taking a swipe at me after race two – it was a dumb move on my part. But everyone else has tripped up somewhere along the line today so I’m a bit lucky.”

Fife racer Shedden added: “The incident with Matt was just one of those things – there’s no way he intended for that outcome so there’s no point jumping up and down about it. I still managed to keep going and get across the line in sixth and took another good points haul in race three. I’m right back in the title hunt which is the most important thing.”

Henley-in-Arden’s Jackson commented: “Things didn’t go our way at all in races one and two but we’re a tough little team and when I was drawn on pole for race three we knew we had a chance. It’s testament to the team and the Focus that we were able to keep Gordon at bay as the Honda seems to be the car to beat at the moment.”

Oulton also saw some fine performances from several other drivers, notably Collard’s team-mate and fellow Hampshireman Nick Foster, Aylesbury’s Andy Neate in his Team Aon Ford Focus and Hereford’s Wood in his tiny Central Group Racing outfit’s older BTC-spec Honda Integra.

Meanwhile, Honda/Dynamics continues to lead Chevrolet/RML in the coveted Manufacturers/Constructors Championship and similarly the Honda Racing Team is still ahead of Silverline Chevrolet in the HiQ Teams table. Jackson, though, has lost his lead in the Independent Drivers order to Nash while the fight for Independent teams’ honours is intensifying – 888 Racing/Collins holds the initiative but is just five points ahead of the tying Pirtek and Airwaves.

Elsewhere, a number of drivers were punished at Oulton for on-track indiscretions: Race 1, Jeff Smith, fined £500, officially reprimanded & 3 penalty points on his competition licence; Race 2, Robert Collard, 1 second time penalty for gaining an unfair advantage (over James Nash).
