The file types that have to be in your custom skins folder have to be of the following types:
dds TGA ini

Ok but why is there .car format for gtr evo I am completely stumped, think I would go back to Race 07 if it had nurburgring lol I thought
it would be easy but I keep going round in circles it seems, wish I could find an "Idiots Guide" to skinning Gtr Evo lol......anyway is someone can help me out it would be great..

You don't need this .car file if you place your skins in the Custom Skins, .ini is enough.

When a mod needs to be placed in the Gamedata folder, each car needs its own .car file.

So, in your case, no trouble ... you don't need that.

are there more cars coming for the ADAC GT Masters?

It would be great to have the series as a mod.
First of all we would need a good mercedes sls GT3 model.
