ive made a folder named gamedata then inside that folder i made the locations folder and put i copy and paste the track in there but when i close that and go into the game its not there .same thing with the skins i just drop the car i downloaded from nogrip.com .what am i doing wrong .also should the donwloaded tracks and car on my desktop have the pic of adobe on the file:sign0009::sign0085:

no that looks good too
probaly you have to go throug every skin you have installed and check the .ini for a duplicated driver name as james was saying earlyer realy last i can think of

Yeah but when I put 1 skin in it doubles no matter what the skin is!

as i sayed befor totaly clueless now
if the game is totaly vanilla it should 100% not happen check your .plr file for dubble entrys
i saw someone got trubble with replays on vista and the .plr file was messed up
may the path for the skins is messed up

you sayed your offline install is messed up too right ??
did you deinstall it befor you did the new steam install?
they should not interfer each other but who knows
