New sponsors New Look

Well the current season hasn't really kicked off yet and the new seaon of the RaceDepartment WTTC has even been mentioned and yet the old sponsors of BNC Racing have allready droped out due to over expense. So the directors went looking and have found a new family of sponsors that are able to keep up with demands that are required within the WTCC.

So with a new look and new sponsors I am proud to show off the new team livery.

If you are using Photoshop youll need the DDS plugin available from HERE

Next once you are happy with your skin and all its layers. Highlight all the layers (Hold Down Shift and left click) and then right click any layer and select flaten image.

A warning screen will apper saying "Disgard Hidden layers" select yes and continue.

Once your image is flattened goto "Save As" and from the drop down menu of file types select *.DDS . For body skins you want DX1 and Genrerate MIP Maps "6", Hit save and your done with this part.

If you really get stuck then I have attached Two Quickguides the one in the zip goes a bit deeper into detail about file types. and setting up ini's.

PS. if you still get no joy post here again and we'll see what we can do.

well depending on one your wallet size and two expirence and what sort of render your after there are two manin choices.

One: Autodesk 3ds Max

Two: Deep Exploration™ CAD Edition

Option one gives you more flexability and with added addon like brasil rs and vray better rendering engines but at a hefty cost.

Option two is the cheaper option, but your stuck working with xfile models and basic lighting and rendering engines. Main advantage though is the free 30 day demo.

Jarrod, with deep exploration do you need other plugins? or can you start rendering from the trial version?

:)thanks Jarrod.

No problem. Doiwnload the xfile rars. and make an new fold "xfiles" extract each rar into the new folder and open Deep.

Once your in Deep point it to your "xfiles" folder and select any car. Once the xfile is loaded you'll see a render with the deafult skin. Double left click on the body and a widow will open goto the materials tab and again double click on any material and you.ll see what texture it relates to via the image.

Once you've found the body texture hit browse and browse to your new texture (photoshop psd) and hit OK.

Now the temp render will show with your skin.

From the top menu within deep find render and from the option select "render Properties" in there select "raytracer and then hit the Raytracer tab.

Raytracer tab:

Antialising 8x8

all options off bar : raytrace refelections and use multithreading

then hit render and your off and running.
