Flags of All Nations
UPDATED: New Flags!
People (and historians) of Tuvalu, rejoice!
This package includes flag "buttons" (icons) for over 200 locations not included in the original
game. These may be chosen as a player's nationality, and will appear on the results screen for
that player.
These new location buttons may also be used by track and driver add-on authors by including the
new button in your package and referencing it in the GDB or RCD file.
To install, extract the file to your "Race 07" main directory, which is either:
- "<drive>:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<user ID>\race 07" (on-line), or
- "<drive>:\Program Files\RACE 07" (off-line).
After extracting, run the batch file "Flags Cleanup.bat" from your main directory to remove an old
flag included in error with version 1.0. (As with any batch file, you may right-click and choose
"Edit" to review the actions it will take.)
I have taken great pains to make the buttons look as closely as possible to the original SimBin
provided buttons. See the screen captures to judge for yourself how well I did. Included are
screen extracts that list all the locations now in the game, with my updates highlighted (in the
actual game the buttons aren't highlighted unless selected, just like the standard buttons).
I have included flag buttons for all nations and territories not in the original game that are
listed in the ISO 3166-1 standard, as well as a few "fun" locations that may or may not exist in
real life (which I will leave for the downloader to find [smile]).
UPDATED: Version 1.1 of this package includes recent historical flags on the ISO 3166-3 list of
former nations that have no direct successor with the same flag. Also included is a printable and
searchable list of all nations now available, as well as a couple new "fun" buttons.
More information is provided in the README file that is installed with the package.
