Underdog car of this year.

I bought a SAAB 9-5 AERO a month ago, luckily for me it was on an auction so I got it cheep, only 10,000 euro, in comparison to listed 15-16,000 at the dealer. Don't know the prices in each contry but I would think that SAAB must be an underdog right now with prices dropping. The spareparts will still be avalible for a long time. A nice dark brown 9-5 AERO for the big family, I would like to think that I have bought a lot of car for that kind of money. This summer it's going to let it rip on the Nurburgring, just for a the fun of it:dance2:. See you there, maybe.

I've always liked SAAB's. However, they just have an 'old man' image that goes right along with them. Sounds like you got yours at a good price too! Well done.

Very nice but from the front it does make me think of a big mouthed asain..

Do prefer the C8 as this one has quite a bulky feel to it. I'm more into smooth lines, low down.

Looks pretty nice. Front end is very Aston Martin.

Yeah, SAAB is hard to catagorize not premium or sporty it just seem to hover around out there as an just odd little brand just happend to be a small part of the GM, well not for long the way GM is bleeding money right now. I herd that i costed 4 million euro for GM to stop producing Oldsmobile.....

The Jetta's are nice looking cars, but I don't see any similarity between a Jetta and a E30 M3.

Why wouldn't you want an Audi. Same car, better quality and less depreciation.

If you're into VDub's, why not a Corrado (I still miss mine) or a Scirocco?

Well E30's and older Jettas have similar shape in body and taillights.

I am also looking at late '90s BMW 3-series models and late 90's Mercedes S-Class models.

I would suggest the Jetta for you, Im turning 17 soon this summer, and my dad has a '04 passat with a 2.0 engine and 115 bhp. I've driven around with the Passat, its sick and insane to drive, pulls like a maniac, so maybe too much car for you and me yet? xD maybe get a little more practice in the jetta before you buy a more powerful car like the passat.

Well I'm more looking at an '01 Passat possibly with a less powerful engine. However the '96 Jettas I believe run about 112bhp or so? Quite close. Not sure about the torque though.

I know your young and stuff, but please. DO NOT EVER COMPARE a mark 3 VW to a e30 m3. That is the most ludacris comparison I have ever heard.

The e30 m3 was a purpose built race car that was manufactured to meet strict homologation requirements. The car now costs well over 20k dollars for a decent one.

The mark 3 jetta well that thing is just a pile or problems from my experience. And can be picked up for less that 2k.

Okay. I meant more in body shape, not quality and standards.

I thought it was a mix of corvette (back), nissan gtr (middle) & aston (front).
