Gotta say though that white one has some potential, the front at least for that kinda car it could be ripped n stripped to be customized nicely???

I dunno and I'm a HD rider owner and customizer... I think that they shoulda had a nice Big thin 21" Spoked Front Wheel to go with the Wide Glide Front end!
And pissed off those dual lights for a decent custom one. if they wanted different they could gone with the new HID headlights ???
I reckon that those Risers ??? They really just look kinda arwkward too...

Mazda MX-5 (Miata)

I have found one of these at a local dealership and am kind of interested. Not only would it make the drive to work more fun, but would also provide the basis for a nice little track car in the future. I am under the impression that it is a NA model as it has the retracting headlights and the 'speakers' in the headrests. Other than that, I have no idea yet as it is Sunday and the dealership is closed.

Has anyone had any experience with these cars? Any MAJOR pitfalls (I know that living in a place which has the highest amount of rainfall per year for Australia is one downside to buying a convertible...)? Any points I should look out for?

Thanks,
Cam

Hi Cam,
My friend is way into the Miata's, I think that if the convertable top is in good condition it should be no worries, his doesn't leak and it is a 1992 model year. I think that after 92 they went to a bigger engine, but they are pretty reliable and upgrades are cheap compared to other track cars. At least in the States there are a lot of options for suspension, super chargers, wheels, tires, ETC.
If it runs good Go for it, they are fun to drive and handle well.:thumb:

I recommend you buy the car and move to Hervey Bay to avoid the wet weather. :becky::evil::D

I vote we all move to Hervey Bay, :D

BTW Cam How Much and what year roughly? As I'm in the car market too and I'm after something to do track work as well...
