It is sad that it seems Mercedes has chosen to follow a Luxury driven design path rather than a sport one. Although some of the AMG cars look pretty sweet. I was awed however by the 900 lb/ft of torque. I mean what did they have to do to the differential so that it would handle that?

Maserati Gran Turismo S

Another beautiful Pininfarina Design. I like it, and of course it has performance too.
Two major improvements separate the GTS from its predecessor: a 35-pony bump up to a 440-hp 4.7-liter V8 engine with an electrically actuated transmission courtesy of a Maserati MC-Shift in the transaxle; and a high-performance brake system you’ve seen in the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S. The new brake functionality features front brake discs made with dual-cast (iron and aluminum) technology, paired with aluminum monobloc 6-piston brake calipers.

Easily one of the lesser Ferrari's out there but not as bad as the F430. There are so many clashes in design in this car its starting to get sad every time Ferrari annouce a new model. The only part that appeals to me on any level is the cluster gauge, its very classical and doesn't scratch the eyes like the outside does. The front looks very MR2ish and the rear I got no words....

The 599 remains the only car I can look at from Ferrari for a prolonged period of time, current Alfa 8C and Maser GT S put anything Ferrari has out to shame in the looks department.

Ill be the first to admit that Mercedes cars get quite confused when they are trying to be more performance oriented like BMW is and Audi to a certain respect. But in the looks department they are far ahead of BMW as it stands. The only cars that are bearable from BMW is the 3er coupe and the M3, sadly the M5 and 5er has grown off me. Even so I cannot stand the rear bumper of the 3er coupe, its so flame surfaced and uninspired/bland. The front of the 3 coupe is very well done indeed.

The CLs are great cars indeed, I prefer the Clarsson Limousine though, I think its a spa version or something.

I was just comparing them as a whole - Even the Affordable BMW 1 series has a more sport oriented look than the C class Mercedes line, and I think that goes right up through the 3ers. Once you get into the m series cars and AMG versions they are pretty comparable in looks IMO. The bigger cars on both ends just look like luxury cars to me, and not really sport oriented at all, Looks wise that is. Just my 2 cents.
cheers.:)

20 inch wheels and clubsport are not words that should be mentioned in the same sentence. Classic case of overdoing a something that is already good.... pitty.
Oh come on, You can't tell me that car doesn't look good! :D but u are entitled to your opinion of course. I think it is perfect - a little quicker would be nice but it's a diesel. Efficeint and fun with those performance specs.

Another Italian Beauty

2007 Ducati Desmosedici RR, Ok it isn't a car, but at 65,000 USD it may as well be, and with a 16 valve 4 cylinder all it is missing is two more wheels. Not to mention a power to weight ratio of 2 to 1 pounds per horsepower, which is more than 2 times better than a corvette ZR1. What that all means is 0-60 miles/hour in under 3 seconds, so if you happen to get to ride one don't forget to hold on. :)
