New Site Errors, Bugs & Improvement Thread (version 4.0.2.)

So upgraded again succefully, pfeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew it always has my heart beating in my throat doing it! But we have safely landed on planet vbulletin 4.0.2!

This is hopefully the final upgrade they provide their customers for the upcoming months as we have been doing this a little to often lately.

RD is now officially out of BETA :thumbup:

As always if you encounter any bugs again please report them below!

Bram i fired up my xp install wich runs still ff 3.5.7 and there it works must be a ff bug then as in ff 3.5.8 under win 7 i cant get that window to pop up

The attachment clip is on the page number. So if i want to watch the last page i click on it, but it opens then all the attachments. :smile:
I use Chrome.

I am not sure if is forum time working all right... I have in my profile settings GTM +1 and now (23:50 GMT) I've got email from reminder that this event http://www.racedepartment.com/racing-club-euro/30535-gt-sport-brno-07-mon-february-22nd-2010-a.html starts in 3 hours...

Event reminders are sent at the beginning of the servers new day. We don't fill in start times in our events at the calendar, hence the difference

But still the server time is incorrect here also, so thanks for spotting it!

I think "Search" is broken since the site was updated from the old version. At least I know that old posts are not "searchable". Example RaceOn Car Setups, a search for "brands" returns 0 posts, yet there are quite a few Brands Hatch setups lurking about. One has to do a "browser search" on each page to locate them though.

There used to be a google-style search on the front page. Now I only see the advanced search.... the google one was good for lazy people like me

Hi,

Yes Simon Trendell coded us a Google Search on the old site. I definitely want to have that back as the vbulletin search ehm.... sucks? After all those years i still dont understand how it works, and i am not even trying anymore.

WIll put this on my top prio list of things to do! THanks for the heads up.

@Herrmannator, i noticed the long name issue too and will solve that a.s.a.p. also

Currently rebuilding the search index. SHould be updated in a few minutes again. Hopefully this solves the search problem for now
