Cars NASCAR Sprint Cup 1.21

My cars are all slow. I can't modify 90% of the things in the car setup screen. Cars do not seem to go more than 170 mph. I ran against AI set at 75 on some oval tracks and everyone passes me and I am in last place and the car never goes fast enough to catch them. What is wrong?
