A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you must check to see that its clear before you re enter the track. Always try to re-enter the track parallel to the racing line. Stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car.

When joining the track from the pits, remain inside the white line and stay off the racing line until you are up to speed.

During qualification, do not race on your out lap, let other drivers by.

Golden Rule
  1. If you hit somebody, sending them off the track and carry on like nothing happened, you take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Instead, you should always wait for the affected drivers, and that way you can be 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. You will get 2 warnings before a 5 second penalty for exceeding track limits to your advantage. Any warnings/penalties are displayed in the chat window at the end of each lap.

OK, because of this iconic italian track I gave the Ferrari some love here.

I can't stop hot lapping this car, because of its sound and the great feedback it gives to me. Therefor I can do trial and error with small changes and immediately feel the differences.

The attached setup is good for 3 fast laps on softs. My PB was the third timed lap with it. On mediums it's 3 tenths slower for me.

And here's the link to the replay file, if some one likes to have a look. It took me a while to understand, that I often was too late on the brakes for Ascari and Parabolica. The provoked instability when braking too late costs me cornering speed and brings the car in a worse position for a good exit and early acceleration.

Anyone else find these cars incredibly skittish? There just seems to be no progression between the rear end gripping and it breaking away into barriery doom.

Not me.

Compared to GT3 they don't have that much power. So you can floor it very much having grip but when grip is gone, it's gone. I mean controlled power drifting isn't possible if you don't have enough resources of power in each situation.

If the rear of these cars is too snappy, soften rear ARB or rear springs.

Thanks a lot for sharing, maybe I‘ll join tonight but I am not sure if I can make it. I wont have any practise so your setup and replay helps a lot!

Sooo, what car you guys taking and more importantly what wing!?

I'm away from home this week until Friday. So I'll sign up with the Ferrari.

With more free time I would've liked to test the Porsche here, too.

Same Reik. Away until friday but will try to get a monza setup going for the porc. I havn't ran less than the max wing yet!

0 wing is the only sensible solution, I remember what ernie did when we did the classic GT3's here recently ;)

But probably something more solid and planted, though it is two sprint races which does make the strategy interesting.
I tried low wing values on the Porsche and retreated to at least 3. More skilled people than me will be able to make it work, I 'm sure.
