Really though race for me... I'm writing this completely drenched in sweat.
My concentration in the last 10 minutes was completely gone, starting making mistake after mistake, almost took out Fulvio when he was lapping me for the 3rd or 4th time :(
Really a lot to improve.

On the other hand I think this was quite a clean race for every one! Where was the T1Cluster****?
I miss the carnage :roflmao:

Great racing everyone, lots of fun as usual and congrats to the winners!

Great course thank you for the organization!

for my part I made a rather good start to the race, knowing that the lead of the race is to avoid a little bit I managed to come back to the first two in the first third of the race thanks to my regularity and also to the mistakes of the first two

I tried everything I could to keep up the pace and put the maximum pressure on the driver in front, my lights remember it after a million flashlights :p

Then I decided to stay behind since I didn't have the pace to pass the front of the race until the pit stops.
I had decided from the start to get into the bits very late in order to widen the gap and avoid a bad routine, but I don't think it was the right strategy.

I think I could finish 4th because the pace was consistent but two errors which combined make me lose 10 seconds plus the 5 second pit stop deprives me of this pseudo 4th place which was attainable...

Personally I had a lot of fun on this track which corresponds more to my riding style but I really like the difference in altitude

The battles on the track were impeccably clean from what I could see and it's extremely satisfying to ride every Wednesday with you to get away with it!

Thank you again for the organization and the choice of this superb track congratulations to fluvio which is absolutely on another planet!

Frankly at each race you impress me with your pace and it's always frustrating to see you leave last to finish in front! :p

Personally I was also happy with myself because after a lot of hours behind the wheel I feel that I have regained the level I had before and that makes me so happy you can't even imagine

I hope that the next tracks will be of such good quality and I have no doubt that the plateau will be less raised

I tell you all see you next Wednesday and on this good evening

Sportingly

Great but challenging track, really liked racing here, again some decent laps on the practice server.

Raceday was a bit weird for me, but managed to be in time somewhat, had to get in the zone in a short time. Q8, with a decent time, no PB there, just happy to get a nice time on the boards.

Next to Raul again in the race, hi there bro! Unfortunately we got caught in a weird warp again, that made me loose focus at that moment, just tryjng to stay alive, but we ended up in the dirt end of T9. Racing from the last sport, again. But that also brought me a lot of fun. One wall kissing scene early on and then chase the drivers ahead. Had some nice pace and started closing in on Han, took a few laps, but once I passed him (and almost pushed him off the straight, sorry Han) when I forgot to shift up  . So, back at chasing the White Tulip again, waiting for the flower to grown back in the green stuff, which happened a few laps later. Then went after Gary and Raul. Raul in the pits, me trying to gain some time the following laps, but he was just ahead at my pit exit

On the chase again! Closing in very slowly, I already thought I would fall short a few laps. One lap to go, some dust and Raul's Williams lost just enough time for me to pass, so the one lap race was on! Managed to keep that position till the end!

Happy with some good consistency second half of the race, great fun!

Thanks guys, pretty clean racing overall!

Congrats to the podium and thanks Han for this Non-Abarth track

Good times, thanks everyone! Sorry to the two gents I hit... need to practice being lapped and figure out how to do it without going off track half the time!

Can anyone shed any light on why I was bumped to a pitlane start? I was on the grid as people were revving up for the start and then all of a sudden I was in the pits....
You did great Matt, sorry to hear you had to start from the pitlane though. Hit a button or something?

That was a race to forget, I either slide off-circuit, or bumped and bounced off-circuit.
But well done to all those that did better than I, and especially all those that stayed on this circuit.
Well done podiums, I must practice more, just turning up, just does not cut it anymore.
Everyone has got competitive.

Hi Matt,

It is great having you! As all the others said, keep racing and the pace will come. We have all been there (well maybe except Fulvio at his planet).
As for the pitlane; there are 2 possibilities

  • you forgot to push the "drive" button on time (most likely)
  • you made a jump start however AC should have given you a drive through penalty for that.

The getting lapped skill will get better with practice, don't worry. :p
And this was a particularly bad track for getting lapped: too many turns and elevation changes making it hard to judge the actual distance you have to the guys behind you.
Got my fair share of surprise passes today: you see someone on the mirror, you get off the racing line, they go through, you go back to the racing line and OH NO! THERE'S ANOTHER CAR!!! EVASIVE MANOUVERS!!!

Thanks! I don't think I have a button mapped that would do that, but could be wrong. I noticed as everyone was revving that my gas pedal wasn't doing anything... I wonder if there was a menu or display that I needed to click out of on the grid that I missed. I'm in VR and there was a lot to take in so I very well could have missed something! Maybe I'll join a public race and see how it behaves before my next RD race.

This was my first time back in AC since 2017/2018 or so. It has been a while!

Thank you! Assuming you mean a "drive button" that is not the gas pedal, I don't think I saw it or pushed it. I couldn't enter 1st or get any revs so I don't think I jumped the start unless I managed to roll over the line in neutral...
