What I did was copy my full f12012 folder(in my case start/computer/main disk/programme filesX86/steam/steam apps/common/f12012)right click copy,then paste on your desktop so you can find it easily if you need to replace anything(find the file that's giving problems,and copy and paste the original back to the game folder,you can also use steam to get your game back to an original install,though you will have to pass the tests again.
If I were you I would install one mod at a time,and make sure its ingame and working,and you are happy with it.
try the tyre mod,unzip,or unrar the file and drag the contents to your desktop,study the file structure,and move the files to the appropriate folder in your game,overwriting the original.

ok so I downloaded f1 2013 mod I have saved it on my desktop and copied into my f12012 folder its in the the game folder but wen I load the game up I have no change sorry for being a pest but I cant figure it out

Did you copy the individual folders over,and did you get asked if you want to overwrite anything.?

Yes, first download the ryder pssg editor from here.

Then use that to extract the helmet texture from the helmet mod you downloaded and replace the following textures in the following files in your f1 2012 install directory with it:

- alonso_helmet_d in hightxt_fernando_alonso in characters/models
- fe2_helmet_d in fe2_tex_high_00 in cars/fe2/livery_00/textures_high
- fe2_helmet_d in fe2_tex_low_00 in cars/fe2/livery_00/textures_low

Depends.

For a car....look at the McLaren main and specocc files, plus the materials.xml.

For a helmet.....you can't.

Just try and reinstall the game through steam.
It should fix your problem.

Hey guys,

Just wondered if anyone could tell me the best mods for having a realistic as possible career mode? I would like more realistic AI, realistic physics, realistic times, more realistic damag etc.

Is it also possible to upgrade to 2013 cars/drivers etc?

I'm very new to F1 2012 and don't have any idea which mods are best!
