Mobile Driving/Flying Cockpit with Motion and Tactile ( Build )

Very interesting. I love following all the evolution.
Did you ever consider to use heavy duty linear slides (like the wheel mount you added?). I suspect is far too much weight when pulled away from the main rig, but perhaps with a couple caster wheels at the rear corners of the pedal 'module' it could work?

The UHMW tape actually makes it slide pretty easily already.

This may be a long time coming. I'm recovering from a achilles tendon issue on my right foot and can't even use my sim right now. Still mulling this over. Just being able to easily slide my pedal deck off and put it back without much effort, may make me more likely to fly in the future. The verdict is still out on whether I want to commit to a redesign of my sliding pedal plate to support an SC Pedal. I'm also a bit concerned about how it's shorter lever arm will feel inverted. I noticed the decrease in arc motion with the longer ultimate pedals compared to the Sprints and I liked that change.

In terms of effort, this latest video took about 12 hours to script over a couple months time. I wrote and rewrote it and ended up with about 4,500 words. It took 3 hours to record including setup and tear down and at least 6 hours to edit together and pull together insert images, etc.. Then I spent a chunk of a day replying to comments. That doesn't include the time I spent to build the teleprompter in anticipation of this.

This is why I haven't monetized my channel. I spent over half a work week of effort to get let's say 10K views eventually. The return on that is pretty tiny. If I saw dollar signs attached to my YouTube videos it would be so demoralizing I would never post another video.

My last video that did well 6 months ago, was just me talking mostly off the top of my head for 22 minutes without inserts. Probably took a couple hours to put the topic together, 1-2 hours to setup and record, and maybe an hour to edit. Let's say 4-5 hours total. No inserts, no script.

This last video took about 400-500% more effort which yielded about 20% more views with twice as many average viewing hours or 240% more watch time.

BTW this isn't really a complaint, but more just emphasizing that this something I have to really want to do in order to bother with.

Damn! Both of my children are older than I was in this picture.

The car was pretty fun though. I was tempted by an ND model recently but I don't have a garage stall for it.

I guess my ProSim H pattern will have to scratch my itch for rowing gears for a while longer...
