I agree on both these points and as much as I love the MX5 the shifting I think is ill-suited for transitioning to the GT3 Sunday race. My spin in T10...sorry
@HF2000 ...was due, partly, to shifting into second and unbalancing the car. Yes, it was driver error but I rarely have the rear-end snap out on me due to shifting later in the braking zone when driving a GT3.
As for a solution? I like the idea of open-wheel cars (thinking Skip Barber in iRacing) and think it would be a great learning tool to be able to see the apexes. My motorsport ignorance is showing
...as I have no other alternative suggestion.
