I use a paddle shifter only (my kids will destroy a H-Pattern in record time). It's fine. You will need to have the blip enabled or you can get lock up on downshifts. In reverse, you do miss out on some acceleration by not being able to do full throttle shifts which helps in a car with this little HP.

You will be fine with paddle shifting, many use this method, the car is all about momentum. She is a very popular little car, loved by the beginner and the talented ..great racing can be had throughout the field. Welcome aboard m8
