Red Bull have announced Mark Webber will be at the wheel of their 2012 car when it makes its track debut at Jerez on February 7. Webber will be the first to get to grips with the RB8 over the opening two days of the test, before he hands the car to team mate Sebastian Vettel for the remaining two days.

Red Bull, who wrapped up both 2011 titles with three rounds to spare, plan to unveil their 2012 Renault-engined challenger in an online presentation on February 6, ahead of the first multi-team pre-season test at the Spanish track.

The schedule for the Jerez session is already taking shape, with McLaren’s Jenson Button and Lotus’s Kimi Raikkonen set to join Webber in debuting their team’s 2012 cars when the four-day test gets underway.

"Germany's Auto Motor und Sport claims the Australian will be behind the wheel of the RB8 on February 7 and 8 with team-mate Sebastian Vettel taking over for the final two days. The report adds that World Champion Vettel gets the first two days "off" so that he doesn't have to deal with any teething problems"

Favouritism much?

:o

Now I don't like this so much!

What next they will limit the engine for webber so vettel will be faster than him by more?

So I guess they will continue to give Webber the wrong clutch and throtle Percentages like last year to see what it takes to nearly stall the engine so vettel can get a clean getaway at the start.
