I would also like to join in this 2024 season opening race! Really great track and very drivable cars. Love the new content also!!!

I suppose we do the traditional start of Le Mans, by running from across the street to our simrigs?

Nevertheless count me in! Please decide if we go for a day/night cycle so we know upfront if we want to decrease some eye candy.

I did an upgrade on my rig last week, but even with the RTX 4090 day night cycles can be causing decrease of fps in VR (90fps).

If a nearly 60-year-old driver and the fact that this would be my first online race ever (I've only been driving offline for about a half year now) wouldn't be a problem for you aces, then I'd like to give it a try. The new DLCs would be worth it, I think.

However, I seem to have problems with the Discord. In the RD Portal I have linked my account correctly, but in Discord I only see this three channels in the picture below. Is this as it should be?

1. Click the correct icon in read-this-first
2. Make sure you connect discord and forum here: https://www.racedepartment.com/account/connected-accounts/

Welcome Marc!

We have had plenty of first timers before, so no worries. Please take a few minutes to review our rules if you have not already done so: https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/racedepartment-racing-club-league-rules.10977/#post-530016

We will try and help you get discord sorted before the event. It's not mandatory, but it helps when managing the event to ensure everyone is ready when the race starts or if we have to restart. Also, there is a range of driver skill on the grid and unintentional stuff sometimes happens, so if you are not sure if there was a collision with someone you can ask and check if you need to give back a position (golden rule).

Normally, I try and find a bit of time to test and offer some simple setup advice for the casual crowd like myself. Unfortunately, I have bricked my wheel so have not been able to do this as of yet, but hopefully someone else here will be able to offer suggestions if you need it.
