Thanks to the generosity of the guys behind at Kunos Simulazioni, players of Assetto Corsa will tomorrow be getting their hands on seven new high performance road cars and a laser scanned version of the incredible Laguna Seca Raceway as free additional content, and to help celebrate the build up to this momentous occasion Kunos have just swamped the internet with a bunch of awesome looking new preview images!

Scheduled to hit the PC version of Assetto Corsa tomorrow and with console players expected to receive the content early 2018, the new cars and circuit look simply resplendent in these latest preview images, really showcasing the very best of what Assetto Corsa is able to produce graphically.

Alongside what are very strong looking visuals are seven hugely different and equally entertaining cars to drive, each featuring their own unique little nuances that make getting under the skin of the Bonus Pack 3 content a driving pleasure. From golden oldies like the Alfa 33 to a high tech concept car from Maserati, fans of performance road going machines really have a little of something to enjoy in this upcoming new pack..

@Paul Jeffrey Well done on the very nice stream, plenty of very interesting information gathered from Aris while driving in your PJ's :D

Really looking forward to trying out the new cars at Laguna, along with plenty of other cars. It's a real shame that I probably won't get time until tomorrow or Friday.

By then there'll already be a ton of skins made... No doubt! :D
 
Steam has just started updating AC for me here in the UK...and yes I can confirm the pack has installed.

Good timing as I just finished making this video of the Sesto Elemento at Laguna Seca for a direct comparison.

I'm looking forward to trying the AC version but I've got to say the PCARS2 version certainly feels good, lots of weight transfer feeling, certainly like a powerful road car on track, quite tricky to get stopped and turned in and a handful with too much throttle on the exit. It'll be interesting trying them back to back.
 
Laguna Seca is lovely as expected, but the laser-scanning is a bit of a joke. There's no real difference to the Laguna Seca mod that was in progress here on RD, no surprises at all.

Be interested in opinions on this.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's pointless, but the actual difference to a lidar-modded track I cannot see at all.
 
Two new cars that no one has mentioned before:

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (Although I was thinking about Centenario...)
Maserati Alfieri Concept (Drove this thing around the ring, God the handling is disgusting.)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's pointless, but the actual difference to a lidar-modded track I cannot see at all.

I also get significant FPS impact on this one, the same setting I can run the Ring @65~90FPS, but I get only 40~55 with Laguna Seca; I can't tell why a track covered with sand and barely has any vegetation has such a huge hardware consumption, compare to a much larger track that is fully covered with trees and grass.

I personally did not like mod version of Laguna. It was way to bumby and so not enjoyable to me, as I know the iRacing version and knew that the mod was wrong regarding the bumpyness. The layout itself and graphics were fine, no question.

On the Kunos version I think the aspahlt does not resemble the original colours. Looks awfull to me.

That is due to the track drawing objects in distance unfortunately.

Do to its massive elevation changes you will notice coming out of corkscrew you will see the rest of the track in distance which obviously kills frames.

I don't think there is much that can be done from their side the textures seem standard KS as usual.

For me is the contrary, have huge differences.
