cheat engine is still more complicated and not really viable for a big mod project like season mods are though. Though nice work on making it more available

Thanks,to make a 2020 f1 mod is not that bad though,is only 2 drivers that are changed and 3 teams names is not that much.
Yes if you want to edit the whole 20 drivers is a bigger job but once you found the values for each driver you only need to rename them and yes is a bit of a pain because you have to rename them at every game startup but to me personally is not a big thing at the end how long will it take to rename them 5 mins?if that?
Of course it would be a lot easier and better with the localisation file but unfortunately that's what we have this year.

making the mod is fine, the issue would be in mod installation and usage for casual users. People have generally complained even at installing two textures via EEA or such so forcing cheat engine usage wouldn't work. Youtubers or modders could absolutely use it but it wouldn't work for mod releases. At least that's my personal opinion

Here are my thoughts and a list of cosmetic issues I've noticed in the game with this mod. Most issues are minor. I'm new to F1 in all respects, and have no comment on car performance, driver performance, or real liveries.

Info:
Game version: Current stable release (Steam); Mod version: 2.3 (Mega); OS: Windows 10 64-bit; Extraction tool: WinRAR 64-bit version 5.91; Other mods: None. Most images are from the starting grid at a sunny Career race in Australia.

Issues:

Renault:
In the Rivals window, Ricciardo's picture shows Verstappen. Ricciardo's correct picture or model is used in all other contexts I've seen, including rival selection (Verstappen uses correct images and models).
Williams:
Vertical ABK logo is upside down on both sides (halo and others OK).
I understand the left side Rokit and Orlen mirroring issue is known and can't be fixed.

Alfa Romeo:
Left side Sauber Engineering logo is mirrored.
In the Rivals window, Raikonnen's picture is too wide (he lost his elbows!).

Player Career or Time Trial car only: Wheel has displaced knobs (AI and player controlled Raikonnen and Giovinazzi are OK).
Red and faded-red bits all over mirrors, mini-wings, vertical pieces, and generally all over the outside of the cockpit. More so on the left side of the car. There are also white and red spots on the tip of the nose. https://i.imgur.com/92ANRc1.png

Ferrari:
Left side IIR logo ahead of cockpit is mirrored. https://i.imgur.com/5eB1Emz.png

Player Career or Time Trial car only: Missing knobs (AI and player controlled Vettel and Leclerc are OK). https://i.imgur.com/92LC7fE.png

Driver hats (in datacenter, podium) have red bits on them. https://i.imgur.com/OW5inRZ.png

McLaren:
Low-resolution textures (both sides). See upper mid-rear and air scoop, bottom sponsor lists, large front side Vype logos.

The orange background of the same Vype logos is also the wrong shade, and both the logo and background quality varies between bad and awful depending on camera distance (may be using distant textures?).

The orange background of the @McLarenF1 and #TeamBahrain decal on the outside of the cockpit is discoloured, with the same wrong shade and similar behaviour compared to the front side Vype piece (both sides; may be intended). https://i.imgur.com/kcWMl6k.png

Vype logos on left side of cockpit are mirrored. https://i.imgur.com/ED0Dypd.png

Weird green piece below rear light (may be intended). https://i.imgur.com/yZQR2VQ.png

Toro Rosso:
Honda logo by cockpit is partly cut off. https://i.imgur.com/pqOiMuq.png and another angle: https://i.imgur.com/FS22lef.png

Action For Road Safety logo on front wing is mid-low resolution and has small blue-black spots forward of it. https://i.imgur.com/Gkq6LM0.png

Mercedes:
AMG logo mirrored on left side. https://i.imgur.com/r5taha3.png

Haas:
Low-resolution textures on fin (both sides) and rear wing blue.def logos (both sides; may be using distant textures?). Left rear wing blue.def logo is also upside-down. https://i.imgur.com/GvMSAIR.png

Racing Point:
Left rear wing JCB logo is mirrored. Left mid-rear SportPesa Racing logo has only the word Racing mirrored. Left mid-rear Claro logo is mirrored. Left rear Acronis logo is distorted.

Five odd spots are on the sides of the car, four white and one black:
white square on left side near Acronis logo;
small black intrusion into white line through left rear Univa logo;
small white vertical scratch on left side midway between BWT and Univa logos;
small white curved triangle just rear of the E logos beneath air scoop (both sides).

The car's white, pink, and blue pattern gets jumbled up around the cockpit (both sides), mainly with large pink inclusions in the blue area and in the white strips. https://i.imgur.com/RwYtMCp.png

The SportPesa logos near the TV camera pod are truncated to "SportPe" and their "e"s are half cut off (both sides). https://i.imgur.com/VcERUdi.png

Five more white spots are around the end of the nose. https://i.imgur.com/Fb0UkUF.png

Player Career or Time Trial car only: Wheel has displaced knobs (AI or player controlled Perez and Stroll are OK). https://i.imgur.com/HTJeiLq.png

Red Bull:
Action For Road Safety logo on front wing is mid-low resolution and has a sliver taken off the top.

There is a small grey spot near the end of the nose. https://i.imgur.com/opGlDUO.png

Conclusion:
Visually, this mod is very nice flavour update and graphical enhancement (and again, in this post I only have opinions about in-game cosmetic issues). That may have been a pretty hefty list of issues, but for each issue a dozen little and big things are done very well. I could probably be here for days listing them. However, I'm going to single out a few good things:

1. The issues I cite with both Red Bull cars are incredibly trivial. In particular, I almost missed any issue with the Aston Martin.

2. I couldn't find any issue at all with the Renault car. Wow.

3. Mercedes. One tiny issue. Again, a super job.

4. I disproportionately appreciate the updated driver names on the cars.

5. To me, the driver pictures and the uniform changes are dramatic improvements and enhance my enjoyment of the game's visual aspect.

6. I love the newer liveries (except Racing Point and McLaren, due to listed issues). They really draw out the beauty of the cars.

Thank you for an excellent mod.

A late addition:

Red Bull:
Citrix logo at rear of halo is cut off (both sides):
top of 'ix' cut off on left side top of 'rix' cut off on right side
forward side of top of 't' cut off on right side
rearward side of top of 'c' cut off on right side
I'm sorry about the poor lighting in these shots, especially on the left side. They're from a very gloomy day at Spa.
I'm still very much enjoying this mod; thank you for it again, and have a good day.

And I'm back. Tracking stuff like this isn't quite as fun as just turning on the game and racing, but it'll do in a pinch.

Today I found some inconsistencies with team names in different contexts. I don't know how much of this is already known, intended, and/or an unfortunate result of technical limitations.

Notes:

Game modes:
The inconsistency occurs in Career.
The inconsistency occurs in Time Trial for 2019 cars.
The inconsistency does not occur in Grand Prix - team names are correct.
The inconsistency does not occur in Championship - team names are correct (probably; I haven't checked any locked series).

Other:
Williams and Ferrari are the only teams whose names are the same in all contexts.

I imagine Mercedes' full name isn't used due to game engine limits; I appreciate the proper name in some graphics in the garage and data center.

In real life, Renault removed Sport from their name before the 2019 season. (Sources: 1, 2, wikipedia, etc.)

Conclusion:
The game appears to display team names in at least two different states, best represented by the difference between R&D > Performance and Session Results > Constructor Standings. It appears to use the latter state in most contexts.

Note that in the latter state, McLaren's name includes Honda, Alfa Romeo is neither Sauber nor Racing, and Williams uses their proper 2019 title - among other shenanigans.

Thank you for your patience as I continue to poke and prod and casually notice things while enjoying the game with your mod.
