Hi guys,

I'm about to reach a SR of 4.0 as a Rookie.
Now, I am thinking of either buying the Jetta TDI Series or the Skip Barber Series and the tracks I will need to drive them properly.
I love close racing but I would also rather describe myself as a fan of RWD and also I seem to be faster in them, compared to FWD.

Every tip from an iRacer that has driven both series will be greatly appreciated.

Jetta is a great car, close racing too - if you like FWD in Simbin games you'll get along with it alright.

Skippy is also great, harder to drive though and easier to lose SR with - again you can have some close races like in the Jetta.

I'd say get both and some tracks that are run in both series, get 3 things = 10% discount and 6 gives a 20% discount.

I have raced the Skippy series and i really love this car.
i fell more comfortable with open wheelers for some reason.
I you like the solstice car you will propably like the jetta.
If you dont like solstice you will propably like the skippy.
Totally diferent felling. My tip get both cars and test :)

I got back 18 dollers ..but i spent £128 yesterday ....Got indycar and corvette...think i only need 6 tracks now and iv got um all

Since you're 4.0 you'll be able to drive the Mazda soon

- Licence promotion is next week
- FastTrack will be active this week or next week
- Getting from R 4.0 to D 4.0 is easy

I bought the Skip Barber but hardly used it, the Mazda is so much nicer to drive. Others seem to like the Skip Barber, though. I personally don't.

Hosted racing is here now!

Does anyone want to join races with fellow RaceDepartment members?

We would have to agree on cars and tracks, because some would have to buy them first...

I particularly like the ovals, because there is nearly no other sim that offers them.
