Misc Improves sensation track (FFB Mod) 2.0

Just so people know, you have these values...

<FFBSlipAngle scale="0" min="0" peak="0.00" max="0.00" forceThresholdLow="0" forceThresholdHigh="000" minForce="0.0" peakForce="00.0" maxForce="0.00" scaleThresholdLow="0" scaleThresholdHigh="00" minScale="0.0" peakScale="0" maxScale="0"/>

They could use this as an option.. (below)
More like stock, but I actually changed one values to make the "under-steer FF let-off" effect not as much as default, but it still leaves in other effects that this mod takes out by switching all those values to 0.

<FFBSlipAngle scale="1" min="0" peak="0.41" max="1.5" forceThresholdLow="0" forceThresholdHigh="115" minForce="2.5" peakForce="10.0" maxForce="0.6" scaleThresholdLow="0" scaleThresholdHigh="90" minScale="3.5" peakScale="6" maxScale="1.5"/>

maxForce="0.8 Is default, I changed it to 0.6 for less "FF let-off" when understeering.

Again, this is just an option for people who like the rest of this mod, but want a little let-off of FF when understeering, but not as much as default.

thanks for your information BWX, use these parameters and THE RESULT WAS A BETTER SENSE OF FFB, will modify the file and I'll upload it, giving you credit for the contribution, GREETINGS!

Cool. Thanks!

Next time I run the game I will try the other changes that you made in this file mod too. I think I'll like the sensation of gear changes, and road feel, etc.

P.S.
Your English is fine!

Just for information..

I found this was also changed from default. Not sure if you knew that or not.

Default:
<FFBEffectSteering scale="1" frictionThresholdLow="0" frictionLow="50" frictionThresholdHigh="70" frictionHigh="20" forceScale="1" forceThresholdLow="0" forceLow="0.2" forceThresholdHigh="70" forceHigh="1"/>

This mod..
<FFBEffectSteering scale="1.5" frictionThresholdLow="0" frictionLow="50" frictionThresholdHigh="70" frictionHigh="20" forceScale="1.5" forceThresholdLow="0" forceLow="0.2" forceThresholdHigh="70" forceHigh="3"/>

I'm going to change it back to default just because that goes along with the above post I made about slip angle settings.

EDIT
-going down through file I see also this is different..

EDIT-

I also found these changes... Not sure if you meant for these to be different than stock or not.

Default:
<FFBSample name="suspension0" wave="9" envelope="9564720" channel="0" wheelScale="0.5"/>
<FFBSample name="suspension1" wave="1" envelope="9564720" channel="1" wheelScale="0.5"/>

<FFBSample name="suspension2b" wave="1" envelope="9800550" channel="1" wheelScale="0.5"/>

This mod:
<FFBSample name="suspension0" wave="9" envelope="9564720" channel="0"

wheelScale="1.6"/>
<FFBSample name="suspension1" wave="1" envelope="9564720" channel="1"

wheelScale="1.6"/>
<FFBSample name="suspension2a" wave="9" envelope="9800550" channel="0"

wheelScale="1.6"/>
<FFBSample name="suspension2b" wave="1" envelope="9800550" channel="1"

wheelScale="1.6"/>

I wonder if some of the settings was from an earlier version of F1 2013 before they made some changes to FF? Or maybe you just already had an FF mod file, then also added in the road surface/ gear chang FF to that?

Edit- Another difference from default..

Default:

<FFBSample name="RearSpin" wave="9999" envelope="9999" channel="1" rubmlerScale="1.0" wheelScale="0.0"/>

The above is strange. It is using totally different terms. I wonder if that is a copy/paste from F1 2012 or something? Hmmm...

I'm going to go with default on that too although I don't think those forces are active.

That post was getting long...

Here's the last bit of code...

Default..
<!-- Grip loss When front end is locked due to too much brakes,
or wheel end starts slipping resulting in oversteer or spin

Low surface grip should generate less vibration
high longitudinal slip velocity generates front wheel lock
high lateral slip velocity generates rear wheel slip -->

A lot of stuff is just plain missing that is in the stock file. I am trying to figure out if the file you based your mod on is from a different patch or different game, like F1 2012? I'm just going to use your changes to the gear changes FF and the road surface FF. I am thinking that is what you changed on purpose?

Ok, I just tried this, and with my CSR, I have no side- to -side FF at all. I have rumble and weight, but no FF otherwise. Going back to my other file to see if that's the problem.
\

EDIT**
What I ended up doing was just adding/replacing just the gear change and tarmac vibration sections, and that worked fine.

I changed it to 0.05 instead of 0.1 though as it was a little strong..

FFBSurface scale="0.05" name="TARMAC" grip="1.0" thresholdLow="5.0" thresholdHigh="10.0" freqLow="26.0" freqHigh="52.0" scaleLow="0.0" scaleHigh="1.0" length="0.1" sample="tarmac"/>

Going to try that out now. Having that vibration for tarmac does add some life into the FF. It was just a little too strong for the rest of my settings. (Using Fanatec CSR)

The changes I have been making available for the Logitech G27 steering wheel, I tested all the information that you have exposed and have almost no effect on the g27.

Yeah it must feel a lot different on CSR than it does on G27/G25.

I actually input the gear change and tarmac texture lines into my own file, and then tested for a few hours.

I ended up lessening the tarmac vibration a lot, so it is barely there, but I can still feel it, and then changed the gear change to much shorter, and lower frequency wave, and made all gear changes the same.

It feels pretty good. very subtle.

For tarmac vibes..
<FFBSurface scale="0.02" name="TARMAC" grip="1.0" thresholdLow="5.0" thresholdHigh="10.0" freqLow="26.0" freqHigh="52.0" scaleLow="0.0" scaleHigh="1.0" length="0.1" sample="tarmac"/>

For gear shift...
FFBGearChange scale="0.6" gear="-1" freq="15.0" length="0.015" damageScale="1.0" damageLengthScale="0.3" sample="gearChange"/>

On the CSR it is subtle, but feels good.
