Illegal mods, steer clear of them. Simracing604, we stand with you too.

just went to their website host godaddy and looked at the steps to report the website for copyright infringement. seems they're pretty solid, they even allow files to be uploaded to prove you've got originals. so i contacted ASR Formula who have been abused. hopefully they report the website. I would do it too but i'm not a company and plus, they only used my sounds. they used whole cars from ASR. gives ASR more leverage

When I looked their host seemed to be A2 hosting....

SimDream are scums

there is this Sim SuperGT 300 mod wich is basically a rFactor mod (illegaly) converted to AC and it sucks ass
same thing for the rest of the content on their site

Also, look at the AWD pack;
"5 New Cars" **** off
every mod here has been on the community for ages (especially the R-35)

Hell, even *********** stands with SimRacing604

I've done my part. Downvoted literally every single videos, and flagged their channel.

This whole drama is a textbook example of violating the principle of Freedom of Speech.
The Youtube algorithm does not care if you like or dislike a video. It's engagement and that's all the algorithm cares about. Like/dislike/comment all increases the videos chance to be recommended.

I made a petition, and shared it via twitter / facebook with this text alongside. If anyone from the RaceDepartment staff or anyone else wants to take over this petition feel free to contact me, I just made it because he is on the third strike now. I feel we need to raise awareness even more.

Let's please support Mike from #SimRacing604 with this #petition. He is now on his THIRD strike... All info on https://www.change.org/p/youtube-ge...-youtube-he-spoke-the-truth-on-simdreamracing -> Please consider sharing & signing the petition -> Then please consider tweeting or posting about it. We need YouTube & @TeamYoutube and @YoutubeCreators to be aware of this, so tag them in your tweets, retweet why you care. Share this petition. This shady "modding team" steals content and then silences someone who care about developers and creators. So do tag creators to (@AC_AssettoCorsa, @Codemasters, @ForzaMotorsport, @rFactor) etc.. Check out other videos - Latest update (on thrid strike):

Sincerely hope it plays out as specified in the update. If so, I'm looking forward to a live stream from you Mike with what I've realised are your literally thousands of fans! :)

From a viewer's point of view if i see a video with more dislikes than likes, i'd think it tells that something can be wrong with the content of that video. So even if disliking may raise the chance of those videos to be featured in the recommended, the message of the dislikes (especially if those are more than the likes) would be clear.
I can't really imagine a SDD video getting recommended out of nowhere on youtube. Their views are coming mainly from their store page, where they put these videos to demo their products. I highly doubt there are many people subscribed to their yt channel. The view numbers of their videos are quite low. These are simply marketing videos, so having many dislikes can actually discourage a few potential customers.

Hello again! I'm trying not to bombard you with updates and drama, so hopefully this will be my last update on the Sim Dream situation. Like all of you, I want to put this incident in the past and go back to focusing on our cool little niche. I was contacted by the Sim Dream team a few hours ago. They have agreed to contact YouTube and do what they can to have the strikes removed. For those of you who follow me on Twitter, you've seen that YouTube is aware of the situation and are investigating it as well. Whether this process resolves in time to save this channel is still to be determined, but the right parties are involved, so I'm optimistic for a positive result here. More importantly, Sim Dream has agreed to announce later this week that further measures will be put in place to avoid using the content of others in their mods. It's vague, but it's an acknowledgement. They have heard the community. In my response to their email I asked that they take better care to respond to mod creators who have contacted them, and that they don't use the work of others in their mods without specific permission. The thank yous I owe this community would fill a tome, so for now I'll just say that I appreciate you all beyond words. The strongest emotions over the past week didn't come from potentially losing my channel, it came from knowing that people cared that I was potentially losing my channel. Everything you've done to rally behind my channel and the cause I was trying to bring awareness to will not be forgotten. At this point I believe all that can be done has been done, so I'm kindly asking content creators to go back to their usual content. I'm satisfied that my message concerning stolen content has been heard by those who needed to hear it.
