HistorX Mod Version 1.96 & DL link

As a avid GTL club racer im always on the look out for the next GTL, and after a good few days testing with fellow club drivers im very impressed with this mod,
I feel it may be a successor to GTL for a club racing, the ffb is very good with the real feel plugin, superb sounds from the cars plenty of well made liveries and a great selection of cars to choose from.

Who is driving this mod would any be interested in using this mod for club racing, with the added bonus
of other content from Rfactor to be used once in a while for fun nights, If we get enough interest i will consider running a few test nights to see how it all comes together as a package.

if you have or know of good tracks lets get some links going name the track and hotlink it
Franklin has already made us a little track pack

But one of the tracks has a little bug in the sand with it so, lets check the tracks as well
and then we can have a nice list of good working tracks that we can use in our races.

If anyone has issues with the camera bugging out when you grind gears I found the solution on another forum:

Basically, it tries to shift into neutral after a bad shift but ends up poking at the look keys and you cannot see where you are going and crash into something.

In grindingtranny.ini there is a neutral key setting. set this to the same thing as in rfactor and it should now work properly.

It's the one car that i ever had blow ups with in this mod, when i started driving it. I guess i was simply overdriving it, cause it makes a lot of noise without really going forward and i really, really wanted to be up that hill quickly.

you need to have a RD licence to join the server
licences can be found HERE
and the rules about racing on a server can be found HERE

I'd like to join in if you don't mind, seems like a relatively mature use of a forum.
I love rFactor and it's very well made mods and I don't think it gets much of a look-in these days, Also the HistoricX mod is one of the most complete packages for rFactor. Couple that with an active community and I think you have a revival of something that could be alot of fun, so looking forward to racing with you guys

Can I also suggest a track, excuse me if it was in the list already

That'll be a no then! Spent 2 hours downloading the mod + 3 hours to set it up correctly having to email Raceroom about updating my activation code for GTL for steam, but there aint nobody there anymore at raceroom.net! (install the code without the dashes) then another hour and a half to download and install that, which I installed to my other steam library folder in which the HistoricX mod dont see, it'll only see the default folders, so I had to reinstall GTL to that location. then you finally get it all running and this forum is DEAD with no replies aggghhhh ffs. Excuse my frustration but this forum was only started on Jan 13th! with plenty of interest, then nothing!
