HistorX Mod Version 1.96 & DL link

As a avid GTL club racer im always on the look out for the next GTL, and after a good few days testing with fellow club drivers im very impressed with this mod,
I feel it may be a successor to GTL for a club racing, the ffb is very good with the real feel plugin, superb sounds from the cars plenty of well made liveries and a great selection of cars to choose from.

Who is driving this mod would any be interested in using this mod for club racing, with the added bonus
of other content from Rfactor to be used once in a while for fun nights, If we get enough interest i will consider running a few test nights to see how it all comes together as a package.

I tired to convert some cars for Automobilista but sadly the tire grip (with exactly the same tga files) is very different (they have much more adherence at high slip angles).

I asked to Neils in the AMS forum but with no answer so, at the moment, it's impossible to correctly import mods from rFactor maintaining the same handling characteristics...

Please check out post #83 of this thread. You will need a fresh copy of rF1 light https://www.bundlestars.com/en/bundle/born-2-race-2-bundle (do not run the .exe start from a virgin copy). You'll also need to show that you own a copy of GT Legends https://www.bundlestars.com/en/bundle/born-2-race-3-bundle. Please also do as @Rupe Wilson suggests and read the manual before and after instalation.
All for less than £5 or £2.39 if you already own rFactor.
Good luck with your quest. ;)
Any questions, ask away.

Thank you for your answer. I do own rFactor but I do own it from steam, not standalone version. Also, I've been meaning to get GT Legends anyway. Though, there is one problem. Files of post #83 are available and I'll download them but readme/instruction file is deleted. Can anyone reupload that file or point me the direction please?

Why is this Mod so much different than all others ? The install process seems pretty convoluted .
Yes it is a bit. I'm not techie/IT literate, so I can't really say too much. It's a big mod 10Gb or something I think? The modders used some of the car models or something from GTL, so had to get permission from Simbin. Simbin gave permission, but only if they included a check that the installer owns a copy of GTL. They put a lot of work into physics & FFB for the mod too, I highly recommend following the manual "to the letter", including using a fresh install of rFactor solely for HistorX and using the FFB settings as shown.
It's a little bit of a faff the 1st time you do it, but I think it's well worth it.
If you get stuck or have any questions, ask here. One of the guys will be able to help. Also, it's well worth checking the hints and tips thread.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.

I think if it doesnt make its way to rFactor 2 then i may have to get it on my rF1 copy .
I think having rF2 getting lots of love from S397 it would be a shame if this (supposedly) Great Mod doesn't get ported /converted to it .

The mod is great on rF1. I'd love to see something similar in rF2, but the devs keep on about "race cars" because it's a "racing sim" and they go on about oval racing all the time. I don't get that, I'd race lawnmowers if I found it fun/exciting/whatever. Two things I don't enjoy racing, is modern GT cars (with TC, ABS, SC etc.) & ovals. I wouldn't like to see HX ported TBH. The mod team made a deal and they've held their end up, which I think is honourable. I don't like to see stuff ripped without consent (which is not theirs to give), so I just hope some crack team emerges out of the mist and decides to recreate some of the great cars that are in HistorX for rF2. I think there's quite a bit out for AC now?
Just my personal thoughts... sorry.

Hi guys
I get stuck in the frustrating installation process I have GTL on steam, but mod does not recognize it. Sorry for this, can someone help me to install this? I asked in the official forum, but no one answered.
Can someone PM me the solution please?
