Project CARS 2 released across PC and console platforms back on the 22nd September to mixed reviews, now three months and a couple of patches we want you to 'Have Your Say'...

The latest racing title from Slightly Mad Studios continues to divide opinion throughout the sim racing community, often mixing the sublime with the ridiculous in equal measure as it constantly strives to achieve the lofty ideals set forth by an aggressive pre release marketing campaign.

Shipping in a sub optimal state and having since been in receipt of a sizable updates, the question for today is:

How do you feel Project CARS 2 has progressed since release day, and what are your impressions of the game now?

Have fun, stay respectful and enjoy the weekend!

Regarding the posts about the staff at SMS; it must be soul-destroying to work really hard on something and have people publically ripping it to shreds.

Let's not excuse it when some people cross the line in the way they criticise games, but if you make grand, overblown promises about a product you are selling (and a full price computer game is a lot for some people to afford) which are not met, then customers will be justifiably upset and have every right to complain.

There's probably no other type of product where what is promised and what is delivered is so often so vastly different. Can you imagine buying a vacuum cleaner that doesn't do what it advertises or arrives unfinished leaving you to wait for other parts to be manufactured and sent for it to work properly?!

It does come with the territory of being a game developer that your work will be criticised, whether constructively or not.

As others have suggested, if someone like Ian Bell cannot deal with that criticism (which is completely understandable) without lashing out, then they are better to stay well clear of forums etc and leave the customer service to those who have less of a personal investment in the game.

Seriously! Is this a windup? After all that's been said previously, you come out with that constructive valuable criticism. I'm going to find a new hobby, I can't cope with this anymore

Can't you understand that some people think that this is a very important part of the game?
He's giving his opinion. Is he not allowed to do so without a sarcastic reply? Must we all concentrate on the things that you think are great and not talk of anything negative? Stop trying to railroad over everything and everyone you disagree with. It's childish, boring and bordering on bullying.
We get it, we know you think pcars2 is the best sim ever, now let others give their opinion and stop trying to censure this thread.

Oh dear, can you not see it? It's not about what I think or you think, it was the fact that the thread has been full of love and hate for so many pages then out of the blue, he comes up with that masterful sentence. I thought it was funny to be honest but ..........
