GTR 2

Wow! Guys, ill report more later, but this was by far the coolest event in GTR2 i have ever participated in. To see a FULL grid of all different cars was just rockin'

More tomorrow with Imola as track. Ill create a post in a few minutes. Untill then the server is open for public practice!

Thanks Bram, this was great to race with different cars.

Calculation my pitstop and fuel. I was driving 3th when I had to make my planned pitstop for fuel. A BMW M3 was in P4, unfortunately he did not had to pit... seems a BMW M3 has a bigger tank than my Saleen with a max of 21 laps. (So I planned a 12/16 strategy).

Sad for the Ferrari who blew up his engine at the second corner, but for us it was nice fireworks.

Thanks again for this race. See you at a next GTR race.

I've made four screenshots in the race, Yoeri making a donut at the end :)

what a great race - not that i got to see many people... except while being lapped :)

nearly had a wee hiccup at eau rouge and got out of line on lap8, just as yoeri was closing down on me. while i wrestled to keep the car from spinning i drifted right in the last part of the corner and pushed yoeri into the overrun area... thank goodness it was tarmac! last thing i wanted to do in my first online event was take out a lead car!!!

also had a slight hiccup on first stop. the key i thought was my OK button wasn't and i spent a good twenty seconds trying to find what it was with my crew chief telling me to "hurry up"... doh!

race then was pretty uneventful. i got pass two people who over cooked it in eau rouge... then left the game or people just decided to leave. had a wee funny at the end. 9 mins showing to go on my screen fuel showing 2 laps. i knew i needed to stop. into pits, put a splash of fuel in and though - hey why not - soft tyres too. pulled out the pits then with 7 mins still showing on the clock the chequered flag came out. pit stop had cost me a place and now only half a lap to get it back. thank fully simon had had an off and i crossed in 12th place.

thanks for race - i think i deffo need to work on set ups for this to feel the car right under me. hopefully see you again at another event this week as we say good bye to GTR2 and then looking forward to getting GT EVO!!! :thumb:

That was my first race online with GTR 2. It must have been a year ago that I played this game for the last time. And I must say it was great!
At the beginning Yoeri was much to fast for me, but then my Maserati became faster and faster and I started to learn the car and track. I only had a terrible pitstop, must practice on that. When I came out of the pits I was in 3rd position with 30 sec behind Yoeri. I quickly came closer to the BMW M3 in 2nd, and I passed him. The gap with Yoeri became a little bit closer, but not enough. In the last lap I lost my concentration and hit the wall, and my car was dead. Still finished 3rd because it was luckily the last lap. But next race I want to finish the race :)

Grats to Yoeri, and thanks to everyone for making this race possible :thumb:

Thanks to Bram, Yoeri and whoever else made this event possible:thumb: First time I've had an online race for 12 months with GTR2.

Nothing spectacular happened driving the Lotus Elise. Corners like a go kart but has the straight line speed of your old asthmatic uncle! Nevermind, got to see plenty of folks as they lapped me again and again and again... Very good fun mind, managed to run the whole race without pitting (surely there's a prize for fuel economy:wink:) although my tyres were shot to pieces by the end which probably contributed to my gliding backwards into the wall at the top of Eau Rouge towards the end. Thanks to all who raced hope I didn't delay anyone unnecessarily.:)

It was great to make my racing comeback in this event. I drove the M3 and I still love it so much!

On first lap I had hard battle with Seat which ended to very small contact. Sorry for that. When race started to grow up, I concentrated to keep consistent speed on every lap. After half an hour I noticed that GT cars are making a pitstop and that gave me some chances to have good position with slower M3, because Spa has very long pit lane and it takes a lot of time to do a stop. After GT cars made pit stops, Yoeri quickly caught me and went past and same happened with Patrick. Then I was comfortable on 3rd place and just tried to keep car on track with worn tyres. Everything went fine and it was big surprise to see Patrick's car on trackside before bus stop on last lap. That gave me second place and oh my I was so happy. :becky: Good old M3 did it great again :).

Congrats Yoeri and thanks for all who took part in! It was great racing!
