AC GTE @ Daytona - Sunday 12th February 2023

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
No problem! As long as you let me know before sunday afternoon euro time, it's fine.

Are you increasing the bias number? You can also increase diff coast. Go a click lower and softer at the rear too. Rear camber could be off.

Kunos car setups, for me anyway, are nearly always really poor, with a big issue such as the one you describe. The odd one feels ok, but you are usually best off searching past events on here for a setup, and starting with one of those.
ahhh, this is good info. yes, i've been starting with the default set up. i'll try the adjustments you suggest and give it another try. thanks brian.

@dbx71

Happy to give you my setup for the C7, I am at the same time as the RSR 911, maybe that is not saying much, but you are welcome to it, the car is fast around here.
If you say you want it, I will post it here, then repost it when I have put more effort in.
Especially if you report back and tell me how you got on and what you think is wrong.

I can do little about the restrictor.:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

if someone is struggling with the C7, it is a good stable setup, it is not meant for a fast-lapping driver Robert. but if you want, happy to share, but maybe a bit muted for you.
I just wanted to see how quick it was compared to the M3, bit shocked at its quickness around here. Usually, I find it a bit unwieldy, but here like Le Mans it works well, i just cannot
like it.

you guys are awesome! yes, please ernie i'd really appreciate it if you can share that set up. i'll give it a run straight away, when i get a break in the clouds from work, and report back!
thanks!

If Ernie is saying his time "isn't that much", it means he's fast ;). Take his set up to try! Says the other c7r driver :D :roflmao:
@Robert:
yes i saw that you were going to be a fellow c7r pilot and was dying to ask you about your setup. actually, i hit the track earlier today with the c7r and messed with the settings as per brian's suggestions and it's much more stable and easier to drive now. rear end is no longer swinging around under heavy braking which is good.

let me see how ernie's set up works and i'll give you guys an update.

since this track is on US soil, i felt it was my patriotic duty to stick with the american brand. however, let me tell you, i was really tempted to go back to my beloved 458 though. now that i'm getting this c7r under control (relatively speaking), i'm going to stick with it--it's growing on me.... besides, looks like it's going to be a fleet of 911s out there, so wanted to mix things up a bit.

stay tuned...

It's hard to pass up a chance to drive the Corvette at Daytona :)

I want to give that Ferrari a try, but so long as Brian keeps throwing these great US tracks at us, I might have to wait until we travel abroad :roflmao:

you're right, i've enjoyed these US tracks so far: road america, road atlanta, now daytona.

up until now, i had never driven these tracks. only experience i had on racing sim tracks were the more famous international tracks, mostly associated with f1 racing, since the only games i had played up until i got back into this were Grand Prix Legends and GTR2. going way back i know...

but when i saw that most folks gravitate to the 911s, which i also love, i fell in with the 458. you should try it for sure, it's a sweet ride. that RSS lambo at road america was a blast too. but now that i'm getting the hang of this 'vette, i might just stick with it for a few races...

I am pleased to tell you I am quickest in the C7, plus it is lazy and easy to do repetitive lap times in this lump.:(
Struggling to get that annoying very slow rear turn-in break away, my latest setup still does it, if I spent a bit more time, could cure it, maybe that makes the car rotate in a much more constructive way, so not sure I want to eliminate it.:)

I can read between the lines here, you love this car, just don't want to admit to yourself... ;) it's ok to like an american car, the 'vette has a long, storied history... plus, the new ones are sexy as hell! not sure if you see many around over there in the U.K. but the newer models really are pretty sweet.

The C8.R is one of my favorites on the grid :inlove:
