AC GT3 @ Zandvoort - Sunday 31st January 2021

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Just do a steam software integrity check for AC, if there are any missing or corrupted files, should sort it .

It actually did, it asked for reinstallation and I agreed but after few minutes it was ready to rumble. 30-ish GB aren't for sure something you download on a poor 7Mb/s ADSL as mine

@Chris Down YouTube just suggested your world record clip. Besides the obvious cheers (great drive!) is that the same track we're using? It doesn't seem to me, but maybe many of those things off track went unnoticed in the focus of trying to improve my lap times

Floor pan hitting the ground* could cause a spilt second loss of grip from the sudden increase of pressure under the car. As it rebounds you get a vacuum and an increase in aero and a sudden return of grip before it go back to normal. This translates to a wobble through eau rouge or a similar high aero corner where the whole of the car under tray bottoms out and squeezes the air beneath. If you over correct the slpit second slide it could be game over.

At slower speed corners its more of a mechanical effect and it usually the front wing splitter on the outside of the corner. This can sort of catch in the ground and cause a little bit of under steer by supporting the weight of the car that is normally used by the tyre. Again over correction can cause issues when the grip comes back.

*Just how i think about it all and no data whatsoever to back this up!
The effect you describe is called

Definitely the same. There were no updates to zandvoort afaik and World records and racedepartment events always use the "officialist" stuff possible haha.

Things that change off-track stuff:
- Session (practice/race, spectators are different)
- World details (this changes a lot!)
- season adjustments in content manager from csp

I assume my computer can't manage all of those world details then. Thanks for the explanation @RasmusP !

Thanks! Yeah, it's just world details. Without world details = maximum I think especially a lot of the flags around the track disappear.

(It should also be noted that's not a representative lap time for the race, this is with basically optimum conditions, as with most hotlaps.)

It's in Settings > Assetto Corsa > View & UI > View! I think it's also in the right click "quick menu" thingy.

It's there. I feel rather stupid :cautious: after seeing the first parameter being "Fade color", I thought the whole "view" section had something to do with colours and post processing, and jumped it straight away :whistling:
