So sorry folks, I had to go out in a family emergency and during business my cellphone ran out of battery (I forgot to charge it) and I couldn't warn the other staff members in time.

Things happen. Maybe the server can set up in advance so people can run some laps online and unexpected situations don't derail a planned race. It may also help with participation levels.
