How do the pit stops work in AC?
They seem to not exist. I tend to damage my car a bit on this long track and in my test single player race I pitted after lap 1 to see if I could repair some of the damage.
There seemed to be a pit option for a second but then it vanished, never to be seen again, even on subsequent pit stops.
In the end, while in my pit box, hitting Esc and then returning to pits took me to the setup window.
This then allowed me to continue back into the race, undamaged and full on fuel with new tires!?%$£
This seems a bit odd.
How do we manage pit stops, fuel, tires and damage in the upcoming race on Saturday?

PS. it also allowed me to use the Esc, return to pits after I stopped out on track. From what I can see, it returns you back to the pits basically rewinding the part of the lap you had completed. Again, very odd way to manage pits in a race.

@Sean Rogers Yup, unfortunately AC lacks features in that department, but, fortunately there is an app that makes your life a little bit easier! - http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/pitconfig.8032/
You can preset your stop and you just come into pits (easy and simple).
As for the race, I don't think that we need to pit, M will hold on pretty well.
