AC GT3 @ Nürburgring GP - Sat 19th July 2014

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
I'll be racing with a very high ping everyone (I'm in Australia, and I've struggled to sleep tonight so that's why I'm awake at this crazy hour :p). I didn't see any ping restrictions in the OP so I thought I'd join just for the hell of it! I'll do my best to not get all that close to anyone on track if my lag is an issue. If it's too much for everyone I'll happily exit during qualifying, just let me know over TS. :)

I guess I'll be a good test for the new netcode. We had Frank van Oeveren race on the Australian server in the F. Abarths a few hours ago now and the improvement was very noticeable! :)

Hi all,

I own the 1GBps server (yes it's a real 1GBps). Concerning teleporting cars, this was happening earlier in the day. As soon as I changed :

CLIENT_SEND_INTERVAL_HZ=15
USE_FLOW_CONTROL=1

to

CLIENT_SEND_INTERVAL_HZ=10
USE_FLOW_CONTROL=0

cars stopped flying.

The use flow control seems to cause this.

Please leave both servers #2 and #4,

there was a steam dedicated server update just after 18:00gmt and we were running our dedicated server at full capacity.

What we are going to do now:

1) apply the dedicated server update
2) I'll consolidate all players on one server
3) I'll send you a new PM with new password
4) We are all going to drive on server #2

Times:

Booking: 10 min
Qualifying: 30 min
Racelenght: 15 laps (30 min)

Alright,

sorry this event didn't go through as planned.

I'm going to
1) postpone this event to a later date (several days notice) (look for it in the Racing Club forums)
2) leave the current sign up list as reference
3) include a new sign up list
4) People have to sing up again, just as normal

5) right now, going to try some new server configuration
6) If people have time, they can join in with the "new password" I've sent you after we restartet server #2

gl & see you next time
