Never did like listening to random chat from other racers. You get it a lot in Iracing and it really bothers me.
I will still race in the club races that dont insist on TS.

Irritating drivel on TS bothers me especially when they start whining about incidents or swearing etc. I don't class online racing as socialising with friends. They are not my friends, just hopefully fellow clean sim racers from various parts of the world. Like you said, each to their own.

Club racing is purely for fun, and chatting with mates (whether you regard them as mates or not) is part of the fun.

Club events are enhanced 10 fold with teamspeak.

Did league racing for years. Don't have the time or inclination these days. Work and family gets in the way.
