Grid Girls Become Grid Kids for Formula One in 2018

A load of men arguing about and deciding what's best for women. We are truly in living the age of equality. ;)
Not me, whats wrong with this whole thing is that the Grid Girls aren't getting a say in the outcome, it was being discussed this morning on the TV and they had 4 of them arguing their point which is, they do it because they enjoy the job, and get paid well, and since the decision had been made, they have had more insults from other women on social media than ever before, and these so called feminist who supposedly are sticking up for women's rights have cost them work.
Now it is said it was the F1 bosses choice to change with the time's..what a load of bollocks, they have been harassed by these so called feminist male/women and been bullied to making this decision, so glad frank Warren has said no to getting rid of Rings Girls.

I like the Jordan Petersen saying about equality, that it will only make things bland and it will make everything unimportant. The unequality, the hardness, is one of the basic purpose-defining things in our world. The current generation of feminists, white knights and other things like that is no longer for supporting women to have a job and have the same amount of rights, like what this movement was 50 years ago. Nowadays it's the "ugly" ones wanting equality, wanting to get things without much effort, like the "beautiful" ones do, in their opinion, just by the looks. Never ever realizing that the getting and maintaining a good look is hard job for many of those. But that discussion is just reaction, and there's no point in reaction like that.
As told before, big companies care about bottomline, and if they see they lose more than they gain they will change the decision in a blink of an eye without any explanation. Because all the explanations are born in reaction talks like this.

But it's super fun to watch the left eat itself up.
Hi Christian. I can't for the life of me think what any of this has got to do with the "left". Is Feminism a left wing socialist thing in your eyes? Liberal maybe, but surely not left.:) I regard myself as a socialist but feminism grits my teeth.

The Left have hijacked Liberalism. Today, most so called "liberals" are just Leftists in disguise that don't even know what liberalism is. As "Left" began to lose appeal as a label, they started adopting terms like "Progressive" and "Liberal". Many true liberals now hesitate to refer to themselves as such.

Teams could have race queens like in Japan, but it is unlikely that would have access to the grid due to "bad resonance with brand values" and similar bullshit.

Btw Hamilton is the only driver in recent times who dared to interact with grid girls, while the others hardly seemed to care - probably fearing social media punishment by self-appointed societal norms makers.

Labour gave the UK the equal pay act, which is both feministic and socialistic. There's a lot of overlap between the two political ideologies (both are about equality, after all) and many women in Labour are both.

It's one of those annoying things were a word can apply to entirely different sorts of people depending on who you talk to.

To be honest you don't get to see much of the grid girls in F1, but in Moto GP well that's another matter, you get to see alot of them :sneaky: also the riders do interact with them as well, also some of the girlfriends & wife's have been on the grid for them, plus it's a far better racing experience all round.

I still don't understand how everyone managed to condense their world view on everything into left and right. Liberal vs conservative. It's utterly ridiculous, those two labels don't cover anyone persons view on anything.

I get that line has been drawn down the middle of the US for a while but I don't get why Europeans are joining in, these arguments are irrelevant to us.

Fine, since there are no grid girls in 2018, Verstappen, Stroll and Leclerc "will be absent from the 2018 drivers' line-up", as they "are" Grid Kids.
Therefore, the grid could be changed like this:
Red Bull: Ricciardo - Gasly
Toro Rosso: Hartley - Niko Kari
Sauber: Ericsson - Wehrlein
Williams: Sirotkin - Kubica

XD

Yes I suppose you are right. I regard myself as a socialist and proud and my wife is free to choose any job she wants, she can wear what she wants, she can can go out with her mates when she wants and she is free to vote whomever she wants, but only as long as my dinner is on the table when I get home from work. So I can't be labelled as a feministic socialistic person. ;):sneaky::D:whistling:

Oh and she's not allowed to clean my motorbikes either coz women can't do that as good as men.:cautious::ninja:
ps again, on second thoughts she can clean my bike on a sunny day wearing a bikini if that's alright with you feminista's.

You know Andy when it comes down to it, all it is there are muppets around, and they all have a big bowl of gravy and they are stirring the shite out of it, the worst one lately is this gender labelling, what a pile of :poop: that is..the world has gone to pot, and most of it is due to celeb's of some format wishing to make a name for themselves, and inventing something because there so bloody bored with their own life's, and we have them shoved down our throats 24hrs a bloody day, because they are the best thing's on the planet.
Get rid of religion and so called celeb's and the world would be fine.

I don't understand it either and have never considered myself affiliated with a particular party. I believe it was George Washington that said/predicted the two-party system would eventually destroy the democratic system.

It is more complicated... I've always been an atheist, but lately I am fascinated how actually great some metaphoras in our religions, take Christianity, Islamism, Buddhism etc. Again, Jordan Peterson breaks down an analysis on some, and it blew my mind. It's the simplicity of education both institutions and parents, lead down to those huge unproven and uninspiring big cancerous conceptions or misconceptions that turn millions of people into dummies. You can always identify them by lack of nuance points. (like, fapping will make you blind, sex is shame, being angry is bad, being lonely is bad, those who are rich are always cheating the system, now this is big in Russia - always buy new cars, old cars are bad, drugs are bad, while surprise! alcohol is cool, talking to stranger is bad, everyone must be equal etc etc). Instead of telling an analysis what anything from that can give and take from you, you get those cancery conceptions flying around. But they all are made to help selling products, so they will live.

Nothing in any religion will ever make sense to me. Metaphorical or not. Ever.

For me:
Grid Girls are fine.
As long as Grid Men and Grid Children are a thing. Grid people perhaps as naming any type of grid personnel by their gender/age puts pressure on that group to fill a certain role.
Grid Girl the names says it already! why the pressure there is none they get paid for doing that job it isnt forced at all they love to be a grid girl the attention ,free telly time its all promo for them it helps them getting out there for more work that will pay even better . soa al lthe power to them

it would of been nice for all the people to votte for the best grid girls on the grid u may vote for other grid girls so some people want to see one whit a hump on their back or a hump under the belly button or one that is blind or one whit no arms if they want to stand on the position of a grid girl if u like the job go do it if u wanna do it .Lift garbage everyday and clean up the street go for it do the thing u love !!
but dont go yelling ow no those poor beatifull women all over the screen before a start of a race boohoooo we should help those slaves ..

its sad thats what this is .

Getting a job with a company then being told exactly what to wear and where to stand and how to smile is not feminist freedom of choice

If I was super dense I'd say that just sounds like a job description. I wasn't there, maybe it was super cold and said models would have benefited from a wardrobe upgrade (mind you I'm from Toronto, Canada the warmest of Canadian cities so cold is lower the -35C :p, at above 0C its shorts and sandals for some ppl here fml). All things remaining equal, they are there to do a job that they are qualified for and it has its requirement as all jobs do, just as most in the service industry. As the employer you're tasked with many things, providing a safe work environment, adequate accommodation to perform the job/work, payment etc. You dont see these girls complaining about these things, or better yet if they do then as the employer you had better listen otherwise the backlash would be monumental (just imagine the headlines given today's political and social climate).

Why though, is there this huge uproar? That's the real question. Was it really their removal that has set all this on fire, or was it the last drop....

EDIT: Last contribution, this for me at least is a conversation to be had rather then to type. The concepts IMO are simple but I find that we needlessly complicate things.
