Graphics settings in VR

With a RTX 2070, a i7770k @ 4.8 and a WMR Headset I have not been able to find a good VR graphics settings.
Yesterday I tried VRSS and found it to be slightly better.
I just added AMSAVX.EXE to the NVIDIA Inspector profile for Project cars 2 profile.
Had to go back to 441.xxx driver as the 445.xxx didn't expose the settings needed for getting VRSS working.
"0x00D5E9C6" set to 0x000001 & " 0x00D5E9C7 " set to 0x000002.

Using StreamVR 120% and MSAA High, VRSS and Sharpning 0.9.
The center view is nice sharp and clear with no flickering except the shadows.
Regardless what Shadow setting I use from low to ultra they flicker.
Would be interested to know if anybody got a fix for the shadows flickering?

@BazzaLB yup, that combo did hit the machine harder than usual, without screen grabbing i was averaging about 80fps, (very smoothly playable) once starting screen grab, as below as 60 sometimes, in headset when it drops to 60 i do see a bit of a skip), .. BUT.. dude.. wtf.. this is like the most undrivable combo of track and car and weather I have ever tried, its like they fkn hate each other.. the main trick is just trying to stay on the black part of the track ;) edit: Ill try dropping settings from ultra to high, or to medium and see if that improves matters.

Thanks for that. I can see your machine has issues in the exact same parts of the track as mine. I am very sensitive to any frame drops unfortunately so notice it quite badly. I don't get sick in VR at all, just really notice when frame rate drops below 90. I also don't have an absolute beast of a machine like yours (jealous!)

I would keep shadows off for the moment. I love shadows in general cause they help immersion a lot but you will get a way better image without them at the moment.

With a Samsung Oddysey+ I have MSAA high, supersampling (using SteamVR, not in game) at 180, sharpening settings at 1.3, 1, 1.3 in the ini file, PP filters on, and most settings on medium/low (I can barely tell the difference between high and the other and don't really care as I prioritize sharpness, clarity and smoothness). I run all the sims at 60HZ with Windows Insider setting set to "Prioritize Performance" and AMS2 looks VERY sharp and clear, and very smooth even in Storm Weather. Give it a try! I am running a 1080ti and a Ryzen 2700x.
Does it make any difference using 90 or 60 Hz in Windows insider regarding picture quality? My thinking is set it to 90 and then set true retroprojection so the game will run at 45fps and then got doubled so you need the 90hz refresh rate.
