Iam also using a wheel. a G25. so i dont think there is an advantage or disadvantage about it. One advise from me, dont botter when your slower then others. it can be frustating i know but when you think its in the pc wheel or anything like that, i can tell you that your probably wrong. I did this year lots of testing in FSR to get faster. changing wteering wheel settings etc.. nothing changed. The only thing that changed was my mood because i thought it was in my wheel setup. but no it wasnt, its just my driving style not suiting the FSR Mod.
p.s. when you think there is something to win. try to drive different lines braking early braking late try that kinda things and early on the throttle. that kinda things can help you coming closer.
